ESPANOL Manual de Usuario e Los baleros del cabezal de corte vienen se llados y lubricados desde f brica No requieren atenci n MANTENIMIENTO PERI DICO e La acumulaci n de polvo y otros desechos pueden provocar que la m quina cepille po bremente La limpieza peri dica es necesaria y altamente recomendada para poder realizar un cepillado adecuado e Las partes que se encuentran cerradas como las barras de seguridad y las ranuras del cabe zal de corte deben ser limpiadas con un cepillo eliminando los desechos Luego vuelva a colo car las partes en sus respectivos lugares hume decidas con aceite e Remueva la resina y otras acumulaciones de los rodillos de alimentaci n y de la mesa con un solvente no flamable SOLUCIONADOR DE PROBLEMAS Esta secci n cubre los problemas del proceso m s comunes encontrados y dice que hacer al respecto No haga ning n ajuste hasta que el cepillo este desconectado y las partes m viles hayan alcanzado el alto total e La veta se ve borrosa La madera cepillada tiene un contenido alto de humedad Seque la madera Cuchillas sin filo Afile las cuchillas e La veta esta agrietada o desgastada Corte demasiado profundo Revise el ajuste de profundidad de corte Las cuchillas estan cortanto al lado contrario del grano de la madera Alimente la madera de modo que corte en direcci n de la veta o de vuelta a la madera Cuchillas sin filo Afile las cuchillas e Veta s2. CUCHILLAS DEL CEPILLO Ah ADVERTENCIA Desconecte el cepillo de la fuente de poder antes de quitar las cuchillas e Quite las hojas de acuerdo con las instruccio nes mencionadas en QUITANDO LAS CUCHI LLAS DEL CEPILLO e Ajustar la barra de seguridad de la cuchilla Fig 1 B en la ranura del cabezal de corte e Coloque la cuchilla en la ranura del cabezal y apriete la barra de seguridad de la cuchilla gi rando los tornillos en sentido de las agujas del reloj Aseg rese de que la hoja est dirigido a la direcci n correcta e Establezca la altura de la cuchilla de acuerdo a las instrucciones que se muestran a continua ci n La altura de la cuchilla se debe ajustar cada vez que las cuchillas se quitan por cual quier motivo e Aseg rese de volver a colocar la guarda des pu s de que las hojas se instalan AJUSTANDO LA ALTURA DE LA CUCHILLA Para obtener una proyecci n de la cuchilla de 1 5 mm coloque el indicador de ajuste de la cuchilla Fig 1 E en el cabezal de corte con las dos gu as descansando firmemente contra la cuchilla Afloje el ensamble aflojando los 7 tornillos Fig 1 A en sentido de las manecillas de reloj con una llave inglesa GRUPO URREF SOLUCI N TOTAL EN HERRAMIENTAS Y CERRAJERIA Cuando la hoja esta pegada a la altura requeri da por las guias en el indicador vuelva a apre tar el montaje girando los tornillos en sentido antihorario Asegurese de que los siete torni llos de fijaci n est n

User s manual On Off switch Circuit overload switch On Off switch locking key CIRCUIT OVERLOAD SWITCH The machine is provided with an overload switch for overload protection If an overload occurs the switch will pop out If this happens wait several minutes and press the switch to reset the machine MAINTENANCE LUBRICATION The recommended lubrication for roller chains used in medium to low operation is to simply wipe the chain clean When there is an excess build up of dust or wood shavings etc coat chain with a light film of oil but never pour the oil directly on the chain Over oiling tends to hasten the collection of dust and wood shavings and works them into members of the chain leading to increased wear and pre mature replacement This applies to the speed reduction and height adjustment chains as well as the elevation screws The bearings on the cutterhead are factory lubricated and sealed They require no further attention PERIODIC MAINTENANCE Build up of sawdust and other debris can cause your machine to plane inaccurately Periodic cleaning is mandatory for precision planing and highly recommended Close fitting parts such as the lockbars and the planer cutterhead slots should be cleaned with a brush removing clinging foreign mat ter Then replace all parts in their respective positions slightly dampened with oil Remove resin and other accumulations from feed roll ers and table

20. epth of cut scale to read the planed thickness if necessary GRUPO URREA SOLUCI N TOTAL EN HERRAMIENTAS Y CERRAJERIA ENGLISH User s manual REMOVING THE PLANER BLADES To remove the planer blades follow the steps outlined below WARNING Unplug your planer from the power source before removing the planer blades e Remove the chip guard by removing the wing nut on each side 1 Loosen the lock bar Fig 1 B and blade by turning the lock screws A clockwise The blades are spring loaded and will push out when the assem bly is loosened 2 Take out the blade C and then the blade lock bar B INSTALLING THE PLANER BLADES WARNING Unplug your planer from the power source before removing the planer blades To install the planer blades follow the steps outlined below e Remove the blades according to the instruc tions for REMOVING THE PLANER BLADES e Fit the blade lock bar B into the slot on the cutterhead e Fit the blade into the slot on the cutterhead and tighten the lockbar blade assembly by turning the screws counter clockwise Make sure the blade is facing the correct direction e Set the blade heights according to the in structions as shown below The blade height must be reset every time the blades are taken out for any reason NOTE Be sure to replace the chip guard after blades are installed SETTING THE BLADE HEIGHT To obtain a blade projection of 1 5mm place the blade settin

23. h Always wear a protec tive face shield e To adjust the depth of cut turn the cut terhead raising hand crank in the direction marked on top of the planer The depth of cut adjustment can be read from the depth scale The adjustment gradation is 2mm per revolu tion of the hand crank e Always start your work by making a light planing cut The depth of cut on subsequent passes may be increased by up to 3mm but re member that a light cut creates a finer finish than a heavier cut e The thickness of timber running through the planer is controlled by the distance you adjust the cutting blade from the table Do not plane timber which is less than 5mm thick Do not plane timber which is thicker than 153mm ADJUSTING THE DEPTH OF CUT SCALE For safe operation of your planer it s very im portant that the depth of cut scale is read accu rately To adjust the depth of cut scale follow the steps outlined below Try to feed a board for planing e Compare the measured thickness of the board to the reading on the depth of cut scale If the reading on the depth of cut scale is incor rect loosen the screw which tightens the plas tic pointer and adjust accordingly e When you have properly adjusted the depth of cut scale test your reading by planing a piece of scrap timber After planing mea sure the planed thickness and double check it against the scale reading e The two measurements should be the same re adjust your d
24. l low Maintenance Instructions may cause a risk of electric shock or injury SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES e Always wear eye protection when operating the machine e Check to make sure all holding screws are tight before starting machine e Always stop the motor and disconnect from power source before making any adjustments e Make sure all guards are in place before op eration e Read owner s manual thoroughly and famil iarise yourself with the machine before opera tion e Do not force work through the machine Al low the planer to apply the proper feed rate e Check feed rollers occasionally to be sure sawdust and chips are not lodged between any components If rollers are not seated firmly the feed rolls will not hold timber firmly against the bed allowing kickback e Only use plane wood boards e Use sound timber with no loose knots and as few tight knots as possible e Never stand directly in line with either the in feed or outfeed sides Always stand off to one side of the machine e Make sure the workpiece is free from nails screws stones and other foreign objects which could damage the blades Make sure the blades are attached correctly as described in the instructions e Use caution when handling the blades and cutterhead assembly The blades are sharp and can easily cut your hand e Allow the cutterhead to reach full speed be fore using GRUPO URREA SOLUCI N TOTAL EN HERRAMIENTAS Y CERRAJERIA
