Close the forearm point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION take OFF SAFE and pull the trigger e A light coat of Pellgunoil on the barrel helps prevent rust e DO NOT MODIFY OR ALTER YOUR AIRGUN Attempts to modify the airgun in any way inconsistent with this manual may make your airgun unsafe to use cause serious injury or death and will void the warranty elf you drop your airgun visually check to see that no damage has occurred to the gun If anything seems changed like a shorter or weaker trigger pull this may mean worn out or broken parts Call Cros man customer service for assistance before using your airgun again 9 Attaching Accessories A Attaching a Scope not included This airgun has an integrated top rail that is picatinny weaver compatible for attachment of aftermarket sights including scopes with picatinny weaver rings Adjust the rings on your scope to match the measurements of the top rail Then adjust the scope for your desired eye relief Then tighten the hand knob or screw to make the rings secure to the top rail DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE RING TO THE TOP RAIL Over tightening the ring on the plastic rail will cause stress damage to the plastic and may deform the top rail B Attaching a Sling not included e This air rifle has two sling loop slots One slot is in the stock and the other is under the front sight above and below the barrel e To attach the sling at both ends push the sewn webbing loop end through the sl

The bulls eye should appear to rest on the top of the front sight Fig 9 e When you are sure of your target and backstop and the area around the target is clear take the airgun OFF SAFE See section 2B and pull the trigger to fire Note You must follow the procedure for pumping loading and firing your airgun each time you shoot B Sight Adjustment e This airgun comes with an adjustable rear sight for windage left or right movement Fig 10A You can adjust the rear sight by turning the small screw attached to the dual aperture to the desired direc tion Use large aperture for moving or large targets and the small aperture for stationary and bulls eye targets Fig 10B To change aperture size simply push the desired size to the top e The front sight is adjustable for elevation Use the tool supplied in the storage magazine to adjust the front sight up or down by turning clockwise or counter clockwise Fig 11 ADJUSTING THE STOCK e Your airgun is shipped with the stock in the closed position and is capable of adjusting to different lengths e Before adjusting the stock make sure your airgun is ON SAFE see section 2A and pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION e Push the stock release lever and adjust the stock until it locks into the desired position 7 Removing a Jammed BB or Pellet e Do not reload the air gun e Put the airgun ON SAFE e Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION e f shooting BBs unload the BBs from

9. the visual magazine See Step 4B e With the airgun ON SAFE open the bolt by pulling it all the way back e While pointing in SAFE DIRECTION hold the gun in the position shown in Figure 12 e Insert a 177 caliber ramrod not included into the barrel and care LOADING l fully push the jammed BB or pellet out of the gun Do not try to ARSENE il reuse the BB or pellet HOD EDI e f you are unable to unjam your airgun by following this procedure A TOTTI TTT cee take no further action and contact an Authorized Service Station scm for further assistance and service JAMMED AMMO 8 Maintaining Your Airgun BOLT OPEN e Before you attempt to oil your airgun make sure the gun is ON SAFE unloaded and the air has been removed See Section 4B and 5B e Your airgun will maintain proper function longer if you oil it every 250 shots Put one drop of Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil available at crosman com on the pump pivot pins and the pump cup in the pump mecha nism Fig 13 DO NOT use petroleum distillate based oil or solvent and DO NOT over oil as this can cause damage to your gun e

Make sure to use at least three pumps but no more than 10 to prevent a pellet from jamming in the barrel after firing Reminder You must follow the procedure described above for pumping loading and firing your airgun for each shot 4 Loading and Unloading BBs Your airgun was designed to work with Crosman branded ammunition These include CROSMAN COPPERHEAD and BENJAMIN Use of other ammunition may cause your gun to malfunction A Loading BBs e Put the airgun ON SAFE See Step 2A e Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION e Locate the BB loading port on the left side of the receiver Fig 4 e Slide the loading port cover toward the rear of the airgun e Pour no more than 350 BBs into the hole Fill the reservoir with BBs only Use of Pel lets will jam the reservoir e Close the loading port cover e Pull the BB retainer button back Fig 5 e Point the barrel straight down e With a hand twisting motion shake and twist the airgun See Fig 6 to fill the visual magazine e Push the BB retainer button forward to keep the BBs in the magazine e Position the EMPTY pellet clip so that the bolt will feed through one of the pellet chambers e With the barrel titted downward cock the bolt by pulling it all the way back two clicks and then pushing it all the way forward The magnetic bolt will pick up a BB As you push the bolt forward slowly you can see the BB move through the pellet clip e The BB is now in position to

13. all of the BBs from the airgun See Step 4B Failure to unload BBs before loading a pel let may cause the airgun to jam e Put the airgun ON SAFE See Step 2A e Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION e Place a pellet nose first in each of the five pellet chambers Fig 7 IMPORTANT To avoid jams or deforming pellets make sure each pellet skirt is level or slightly below the rim of the pellet chamber e Pull the bolt all the way back e Place the pellet clip into the gun as shown in figure 8 making sure to line up one of the pellet chambers with the barrel chamber IMPORTANT If the pellet clip is not lined up properly you will not be able to push the bolt forward e Push the bolt all the way forward The pellet is now in a position to fire out of the barrel after reading and following section 6 on aiming and firing safely B Unloading Pellets e Put the airgun ON SAFE See Step 2A e Remove the pellet clip See Step 5A e Use a ramrod not included to gently push each pellet out of the clip IMPORTANT Never use sharp metal tools to remove pellets e Lay the clip aside e With the airgun ON SAFE See Step 2A pump the airgun three times See Step 3 and cock the bolt by pulling it all the way back and pushing it forward e Take the airgun OFF SAFE See Step 2B point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION and pull the trigger to fire e Put the airgun ON SAFE e Another way of unloading the airgun
