16. of the barrel Figure 4 1 2 Secure the bow unit and the foot stirrup to the barrel by tightening the assembly bolt with u washer and lock washer in place using the 1 4 allen wrench provided Tighten fully See Figure 5 TIP Do not rock the bow unit back amp forth when securing the bow unit onto the barrel Tightening the assembly bolt will secure the bow unit Note Be sure riser is properly installed before engaging crossbow Assembly bolt may need to be retightened periodically after use Figure 5 Lock Washer Bolt Assembly 2 Hand Cocking Your Crossbow A Ensure the trigger safety is in the Fire position With the crossbow in the cocking position place one foot on top of the foot stirrup so it is secure against the ground Reach down and grasp the crossbow string positioning your hands against the opposing sides of the barrel While standing pull evenly upward keeping your hands in contact with the barrel until the string passes under the crossbolt retention springs and enters the string opening in the trigger mechanism Continue pulling fully to the rear until the safety moves to the Safe position Relax the tension slightly to ensure the trigger latch has captured the crossbow string See Figures 6 7 and 8 This cocking method requires the user to pull the maximum draw weight of the crossbow

18. sure to properly index twisting the nock as nessary to align the indent of the half moon nock with the bowstring Be sure the nock is tight against the bowstring before shooting Failure to do so is comparable to dry firing your crossbow and can cause serious injury to you or others around you Adjusting Crossbolt Retainer amp Scope Mount This adjustment needs to be made before any scope is installed Adjust the set screw located near the front on top of the scope mount so that the crossbolt retainer will hold an crossbolt securely against the barrel when the crossbow is held vertically with the crossbolt pointing down Don t adjust the crossbolt retainer so tight that when there is no crossbolt installed it will rattle against the barrel creating undesired noise The adjusting screw has a nylon patch on it so it won t vibrate loose after an adjustment is made Inspect the nylon patch prior to each use If worn the nylon may become ineffective as a lock Do not use the crossbow if this occurs prior to replacing the nylon patch See Figure 13 Figure 13 Figure 14 Scope Mount adjustment set screw for changing tilt angle SZ en pa puou H Retainer spring adjustment set screw 5 2 The scope mount can be tilted to change the angle of the scope mount front to back to accommodate a variety of scopes If your preferred scope cannot be sighted in with the normal scope adjustments changing the scope mount angle
19. will correct it To change the angle loosen the mounting screws on the scope mount Turn the adjustment set screw up or down to set the angle needed to bring the preferred scope on target Once the angle is set retighten the scope mount mounting screws Repeat if necessary See Figure 13 Sighting In Your Crossbow Once crossbow assembly and sight mounting have been completed proceed to the target range Thoroughly lubricate the cables and crossbow string with the rail lubricant provided At a distance of ten yards aim and fire one shot into the target taking care to squeeze the trigger smoothly while keeping all body parts below the travel path of the cables and crossbow string for multi dot or multiple reticle scopes aim with the TOP dot or crosshair Take note of the impact location and adjust the windage and elevation adjustments accordingly 1 2 revolution represents approximately 4 point of impact change at 10 yds Repeat this process until your crossbolts are impacting 2 above the point of aim Next move the target to a distance of 20 yards and repeat making the necessary adjustments until impact is dead on 11 12 Your crossbow is equipped with one of several types of scopes designed for use with this crossbow If your particular crossbow model features a single dot sight your sight in procedure is complete If your crossbow features a multi dot or multiple reticle scope you may now move the target out to det
