Der Automark verwendet einen Kondylarbahnneigungswinkel von 25 und einen Mediotrusionswinkel Bennett Winkel von 7 Diese Werte wurden gew hlt weil in diesem Bereich die wenigsten St rungen auftreten wie die Studien von Dr Harry Lundeen und Dr Carl Wirth zeigen Die unmittelbare Seitw rtsbewegung ist auf Null eingestellt Verschiedene Fossaeformen stehen zur Wahl IV DER GEBRAUCH DES SLIDEMATIC GESICHTSBOGENS Um die Einfachheit des Automarks zu erg nzen wird der Denar Slidematic empfohlen Der Slidematic wird ben tzt um die korrekte Position des Patienten Oberkiefermodells zu registieren das in den Artikulator montiert werden soll Der folgende Vorgang beschreibt im Einzelnen den Gebrauch des Slidematic Gesichtsbogens in Verbindung mit dem Automark Markieren Sie die Position des anterioren Bezugspunktes an der rrechten Gesichtsh lfte des Patienten in dem Sie den reference plane locater and marker ben tzen Der Punkt ist 43 mm nach oben gemessen und zwar von den inzisalen Kanten der zentralen und lateralen Schneidezahne Fig 6 Bei einem zahnlosen Patienten messen Sie von der unteren Lippenlinie an aufw rts Die Unterlippenlinie ist die untere Grenze der Oberlippe in Ruhestellung Bedecken Sie die Bissgabel mit zwei Lagen weiche Basisplattenwachs Mit dem Bissgabelarm auf der rechten Seite des Patienten legen Sie die Gabel in seinen Mund Vergewissern Sie sich dass die Mittellini2. 37. s available to suit user s requirements Precision transfer of mounted casts between all Denar articulators May be used with either Slidematic or D31A Facebow I CENTRIC LATCH The Automark features a very positive and repeatable centric latch When closed the upper and lower bows do not separate To lock the Automark set upper bow squarely on lower bow Press down on latch at rear of articulator until it engages securely see Fig 1 The trigger that releases the centric latch is located underneath the center of the lower bow The centric latch is opened by placing the index finger on the trigger and the thumb in the rest groove on top of the upper bow Apply pressure with the index finger until the latch snaps see Fig 2 DO NOT raise the latch with your finger as damage to the mechanism may occur The latch must be released by the trigger II ARTICULATOR HANDHOLDS All eccentric movements should be made with the latch disengaged in the open position Movements may be reproduced using either an underhand or overhand grasp to hold the upper and lower members together In an underhand grasp a right handed operator curls the fingers of his left hand under the mandibular crossbow and places his thumb on top of the upper bow The left hand applies pressure to the fossae while the right hand guides the incisal pin through its movements The photographs illustrate the underhand grasp during a protrusive movemen

43. the mouth aligning the patient s midline with the index ring on the fork so that it is parallel with the patient s coronal and horizontal planes see Fig 7 Obtain a light indexing of the maxillary arch and ask the patient to hold the bitefork in place BA Attach the reference pin to the measuring bow with the clamp marked 2 on the patient s right and tighten the screw see Fig 8 Loosen the clamps marked 1 and 2 on the reference pin Loosen the lockscrew on the outside front edge of the measuring bow and slide the bow open to accommodate the width of the patient s face Assemble the facebow on the patient by sliding the bitefork arm through the hole in clamp 2 as the earpieces of the measuring bow are placed in the patient s auditory meatus see Fig 9 Tighten the finger lockscrew on the anterior reference pointer Raise or lower the bow so that the pointer aligns precisely with the anterior reference point and tighten clamp 1 and 2 see Figs 10 and 11 When tightening clamps 1 and 2 care must be taken not to displace the bow to either side Record the intercondylar distance measurement as shown on the bow see Fig 12 for your records Loosen the finger lockscrew on the measuring bow slide the bow open and remove the entire facebow from the patient V MOUNTING THE CASTS Attach a mounting plate to the upper bow Be certain the incisal pin is at the zero position Zero position o
