OF BRITISH INDUSTRY IMPORTED INTO CZECHOSLOVAKIA PRAGUE FEBRUARY 1 1926 French official text communicated by His Britannic Majesty s Foreign Office The registration of this Exchange of Notes took place May 25 1926 1 TRADUCTION TRANSLATION Dr BENES TO SIR G CLERK PRAGUE February 1 1926 MONSIEUR LE MINISTRE I have the honour to inform your Excellency that the Czechoslovak Government in accordance with the desire expressed by His Britannic Majesty s Government of which you have been good enough to inform me agree to the reduction as from this date of fifty per cent in the tariff rates set out in the respective classes of the Customs tariff on printed matter in English imported into Czechoslovakia classed under Nos 298 300 of the Czechoslovak Customs tariff the sole object of which is to advertise the products of British industry or to set out the manner in which such products are to be employed In accordance with the stipulations above mentioned the same advantages will apply subject to the conditions laid down in articles 9 and 10 of the Treaty of Commerce between the Cze choslovak Republic and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of July 14 1923 to printed matter imported from India or other autonomous Dominions Colonies Possessions Pro tectorates or Territories under the mandate of His Britannic Majesty In bringing the above to the notice of your Excellency I request that you will be good en2.
