7. ch is OFF  connect the power connector to    and lock it and  then connect the red and black clips to the battery positive and negative polarities  respectively    2 2 Connecting and Installing Detector   O Sdect the detector available for the engine and connect it to the associated connectors  referenc   ing the description on the connector pand on the side face of it   For the procedure for installing the detector onto the engine  refer to the Detector Instruction  Manud   For safety  be sure to stop the engine and fix the detector cables to prevent then from being  caught    2 3 Measurement   O When ready  tum POWER switch    ON  Select the sensor to be used with button    and the  number of cylinders of the engine to be measured with button   and then adjust the trigger leva  using trigger leva setup buttons    and    until the indicated value is stabilized  The rotating  signal can be monitored with indicator lamp IND         When the POWER switch is turned ON  all indicator lamps on the front panad may start  blinking    This occurs when there are conflicts in the internal nonvolatile memory caused by tuming  the power OFF while updating the nonvolatile memory or other reasons  but it is not a fault     Press any button on the front pand to initialize the nonvolatile memory to the default states   making it available Please note that  in this case  the panel conditions saved previously will  be cleared  requiring resetting    The pand conditions are automatically stored
