Sie keine Masseverbindungen mit Lautsprechern die mit diesem oder anderen JL Audio Verstarker verbunden sind Dies wiirde den Sicherheitsmodus des Verstarkers aktivieren Um die Lautsprecherkabel mit dem Verstarker zu verbinden entfernen sie 12mm der Isolierung von jedem Lautsprecherkabel und f hren Sie sie in den passenden Anschluss ein Beachten Sie bitte die richtige Polarit t Ziehen Sie dann jeden Anschluss fest indem Sie den mitgelieferten 2 5mm Innensechskantwinkel schraubenschl ssel benutzen HWICHTIG Versuchen Sie nicht zwei JX Monobocks zusammenzubr cken oder deren Ausg nge zu kombinieren Dies w rde die Verst rker ernsthaft besch digen Hw chric Bevor Sie die Batterie wieder anschlie en und das System einschalten stellen Sie sicher dass alle Kontrolleinstellungen gem den Anforderungen des Verst rkers ausgerichtet sind STATUSANZEIGE SCHUTZSCHALTUNG JL Audio OO Power Protect Der JX Monoblock verf gt ber eine LED Statusanzeige die folgende Bedeutungen haben kann 1 Power Gr n Der Verst rker befindet sich im normalen Betriebszustand Das Licht ist ganz links am Bedienger t zu sehen 2 Schutzmodus Rot Hierdurch wird angezeigt dass die Schutzschaltung aktiviert wurde um um eventuellen Produktbetriebsst rungen vorzubeugen Meist hervorgerufen durch thermische berhitzung Kurzschluss oder gef hrlich niedrige

Signal betrieben werden Die Eingangsschaltung summiert f r den internen Verst rker automatisch das Stereo Signal zu einem Mono Signal Der Verst rker funktioniert auch mit nur einer Cinch Anschlussbuchse aber dies erfordert eine h here Pegeleinstellung der Eingangsempfindlichkeit um den Verlust des Mono Signals auszugleichen Daher ist es ratsam einen Y Adapter zum Splitten des Mono Signals zu verwenden wenn Sie ein Mono Signal in die Low Level Inputs einspeisen Verbinden Sie das Signal sowohl mit dem linken als auch mit dem rechten low level Eingang des Verst rkers Wenn ein Monosignal in die High Level Inputs geleitet wird schalten Sie es parallel zu sowohl den rechten als auch den linken Eingangskabeln 1 Low Level Inputs Ein herk mmliches Paar an linken rechten RCA Cinch Buchsen wird f r low level Vorsverst rker Eingangssignale an JX Monoblocks genutzt Hierbei handelt es sich um die Verbindungsmethode die wenn m glich bevorzugt werden sollte 2 Hi Level Inputs Wenn Ihr System nicht ber eine low level Vorsverst rker Signaloption verf gt k nnen Sie die Lautsprecherlevel Signale auch direkt an die Hi Level Inputs Anschl sse anschliessen Benutzen Sie hierf r bitte den mitgelieferten Gegenstecker so wie das Anschlusskabel Spleissen Sie hierzu einfach die entsprechenden links rechts und positiv negativ Kabel an das Geschirr an und f hren es in die Hi Level Inputs Anschl
9. bestimmten Steuerger ten zu schwach ausgelegt sein um mehrere Ger te anzuschalten Dann sollte ein Relais zum Einschalten benutzt werden Um dies zu testen k nnen Sie den Remote Anschluss mit dem Stromkabel des 12VDC Anschlusses vor bergehend ansteuern um zu sehen ob der Verst rker dann einschaltet Ist dies nicht der Fall liegt ein anderes Problem vor Bitte fahren Sie mit dem n chsten Schritt fort Das Audiosignal schwankt w hrend der Fahrt oder wenn man auf den Verst rker klopft berpr fen Sie alle Anschl sse des Verst rkers und achten Sie auf eine feste Verbindung bei jedem der Anschl sse und auf ausreichend abisolierte Kontaktfl che an den Kabeln im Innern der Anschl sse berpr fen Sie die Verbindungen zum Verst rkereingang und achten Sie darauf dass alle Kabel und Stecker der Audioverkabelung fest sitzen Der Verst rker schaltet sich ein aber es ist kein Audiosignal zu h ren berpr fen Sie das Ausgangssignal des Steuerger ts Autoradio mit einem Gleichstrom Voltmeter w hrend ein Testsignal wiedergegeben wird entfernen Sie daf r die Verkabelung am Verst rkereingang Die benutzte Frequenz des Testsignals sollte der Verst rkeranwendung entsprechen Beispiel 50 Hz f r Subwoofer Anwendungen oder 1 kHz f r Mittelhochton Anwendungen Eine stabile Spannung zwischen 0 2 und 8 0 V sollte an den Audiosignal Ausg ngen des Steuerger ts anliegen berpr fen Sie die Lautsprechera

G A Einstellung der Eingangsempfindlichkeit Die folgenden Hinweise helfen dem Anwender die Eingangsempfindlichkeit des der Verstarker s einfach und optimal in ein paar Minuten mithilfe von herk mmlichen Hilfsmitteln einzustellen Ben tigte Ausr stung e Digitaler Gleichstrom Voltmesser CD mit einem Sinuskurven Testton aufgenommen mit einem Referenz Pegel von 0 dB welches sich innerhalb dem Frequenzbereich der f r die jeweilige Verstarker Anwendung befindet 50 Hz Bitte verwenden Sie keine abged mpften Testsignale 10 dB 20 dB etc Die Neun Schritte Prozedur 1 Entfernen Sie den die Subwoofer vom Subwoofer Ausgangsanschluss Sie m ssen lediglich Positiv oder Negativ enfernen nicht beide 2 Schalten Sie alle Signal Filter Bass Treble Loudness EQ etc der Steuereinheit des separaten Signal Prozessors und Verst rkers ab Bringen Sie an der Steuereinheit den Fader Regler in die Null Stellung und stellen Sie den separaten Subwooferpegel auf 3 4 der Maximal Stellung ein Wenn die Pegelfernbedienung angeschlossen ist stellen Sie sie auf das Maximum in Richtung des Uhrzeigersinns ein 3 Drehen Sie den Input Sens ganz nach links unten 4 Stellen Sie die Gesamtlautst rke der Steuereinheit auf 3 4 der Maximal Stellung Dies erm glicht eine angemessene Lautst rke mit moderatem Clipping bei voller Lautst rke 5 Benutzen Sie die Tabelle unten um die geeignete Zielspannung f r den Regler Inpu

Ihr JL Audio Verst rker ist so entworfen dass der K hlk rper die enstehende Hitze optimal absorbiert Dazu sollte der K hlk rper ein m glichst gro es Luftvolumen zur Verf gung haben um eine optimale K hlung gew hrleisten zu k nnen Falls der Verst rker in zu kleine oder schlecht bel ftete Bereiche eingebaut wird k nnte sich ein Hitzestau entwickeln und die Leistung des Ger tes negativ beeintr chtigen Sollten Sie den Verst rker in einem geschlossenen Bereich installieren wollen sollte dieser mit einem L fter zus tzlich bel ftet werden Ein L fter ist bei einer normalen Installation nicht n tig Beachten Sie dennoch folgende grundlegende Richtlinien Von einer Kopf ber Montage raten wir ab Falls Sie den Verst rker unter einem Sitz verbauen m chten stellen Sie sicher dass ein Freiraum von mindestens 2 5cm ber dem K hlk rper vorhanden ist um eine ausreichende K hlung zu gew hrleisten Sicherheitsaspekte Ihr Verst rker muss in einem trockenen gut bel fteten Bereich verbaut werden der die Sicherheitssysteme des Fahrzeugs nicht beeintr chtigt Airbags Sicherheitsgurte ABS Bremssysteme etc Sorgen Sie zudem unbedingt daf r dass der Verst rker mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben fest am Einbauort verschraubt ist damit sich dieser im Falle eines Unfalls oder eines pl tzlichen Sto es nicht l sen kann Fehlervermeidung Bevor Sie mit dem Bohren der L cher beginnen sollten Sie sich verge

Sicherung und einem Versorgungskabel f r jedes Ger t EINSCHALTLEITUNG Der JX Monoblock ben tigt eine herk mmliche 12V Einschaltleitung welche blicherweise vom Steuerger t gesteuert wird Der Verst rker wird dann eingeschaltet sobald 12V am Remote Anschluss anliegen und wieder abgeschaltet wenn das Steuerger t ausgeschaltet wird Falls Ihr Steuerger t nicht ber eine Einschaltleitung verf gt kann eine andere 12V Leitung benutzt werden die mit der Z ndung des Fahrzeugs aktiv geschaltet wird I 12 VDC Ground Remote OOo JL AUDIO Der Remote Anschluss ist f r die Aufnahme eines Kabels mit einem Querschnitt von 1 5mm ausgelegt Am Ende des Kabels sollten Sie etwa 12mm der Kabelisolierung abziehen Dann f hren Sie das abisolierte Ende soweit in den Remote Anschluss bis kein blankes Metall am Kabel mehr zu sehen ist Schrauben Sie die Steckverbindung mit Hilfe des 2 5mm Innensechskantwinkelschraubenschl ssels vorsichtig fest VERST RKEREING NGE JX Monoblock Verst rker erm glichen zwei unterschiedliche Methoden f r Eingangsverbindungen eine f r high level Lautsprecher Signale und eine f r low level Vorverst rker Signale cooono Hi Level Inputs Low Level Inputs Preouts JL Audio Der Verst rker kann sowohl mit einem Mono als auch einem Stereo

40. stage of the amplifier for maximum clean output m 2 O m 7 I 100 125 ooo LE 80 A 150 D Hi Level Ir 50 200 Input Sens Filter Freq Hz Rotating the control clockwise will result in higher sensitivity louder for a given input voltage Rotating the control counter clockwise will result in lower sensitivity quieter for a given input voltage To properly set the amplifier for maximum clean output please refer to Appendix A page 12 in this manual After using this procedure you can then adjust the level of the amplifier by adjusting the input sensitivity downward if the amplifier requires attenuation to achieve the desired system balance Do not increase the Input Sens setting for any amplifier in the system beyond the maximum level established during the procedure outlined in Appendix A page 12 Doing so will result in audible distortion and possible speaker damage JX250 1 JX500 1 JX1000 1D LOW PASS FILTER CONTROL The JX monoblock employs a 12dB octave low pass active filter for its internal channel This feature is designed to attenuate frequencies above its filter frequency so that the system s subwoofers do not reproduce any audible mid range content The low pass filter is fully variable between 50 Hz and 200 Hz via the Filter Frequency control knob 80 Hz as shown in the diagram below is a good starting point for system tuning
