4. he performance of the bulb and will void warranty Do not look directly into the lighted bulb when in close proximity To avoid water contamination always install relays in their upright position Do not turn on power to the bulbs while holding the harness wires or ballast The wiring from the igniter to the H I D bulb is dangerous due to the extremely high voltage which is generated at the moment when the switch is powered on Make sure the headlamp is turned off before turning on or off the engine Turning the engine on or off can cause spikes in the electrical system which would adversely affect the bulb and cause premature bulb failure Do not light the bulbs near flammable materials such as paper or fabric Do not light the bulbs near gasoline thinner lacquer or other combustible liquids e Never touch the bulb just after it has been running The light generates enough heat to cause a severe burn Make sure that all bulbs are cooled off before handling e Never disassemble the PIAA H l D Bulb ballast or igniter under any circumstance Unauthorized maintenance will void the warranty Further PIAA assumes no liability for product performance or personal injury as a result of unauthorized repair or maintenance e These bulbs are to be used only with a 12 volt electrical system Questions or comments should be directed to PIAA Customer Service at service piaa usa com or by calling 800 525 7422 ext 1 H I D CONVERSION KI
5. ng sure bulbs seat properly in the lamp housing Be careful not to use unreasonable force or touch the bulb with your bare fingers 4 Plug harness into the headlight bulbs as shown in wiring diagram on page 5 5 Locate mounting position for relay and ballasts and attach to vehicle using hardware or wire ties provided 6 Route the ground and the power leads to the battery making sure not to get the wires near any moving parts of the engine Do not attach to battery at this time 7 Route the yellow wire from the relay to the power wire that was attached to either the passenger side or drivers side stock headlight see wiring diagram Note If you use the lead on the drivers side the lead on the passenger side will not be used Make sure this is tied off safely out of the way with a zip tie If you use the lead from the passenger side of the vehicle then the drivers side lead will not be used This does not apply for single bulb installation as in some ATV s and snow machines 8 Locate the long black ground wire coming from relay Attach the ring terminal to negative battery terminal and clamp terminal to post 9 Locate the red positive wire coming from the relay Attach the ring terminal to the positive battery terminal and clamp terminal to post 10 Check to make sure all wires are routed safely and are securely tied out of the way of any moving parts using the zip ties supplied 11 Start the engine and turn on lights and enjoy the fan
6. r replacement at PIAA s option A repaired or replacement product will be shipped back at no charge and will be warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns it Removal installation or reinstallation costs are not covered by this Limited Warranty WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS WHEN INSTALLING AND USING PIAA H I D CONVERSION HEADLIGHT BULBS PIAA H I D ATV UTV Conversion Headlight Bulbs are not for use on public roads They are designed and recommended for off road use only e Never touch the surface of the bulb with your bare fingers This will cause the bulb to overheat and void the warranty If the surface of the bulb is accidentally touched clean with cotton swab and alcohol e Always use supplied relay wiring harness to avoid overloading fuses and or the light switch Before installation inspect bulbs to make sure there is no breakage scratch or stain on the bulb These can cause poor performance and premature bulb failure e Never extend the wiring length from the ballast through the igniter to the H I D bulb Lengthening the harness between the ballast igniter and bulb can cause failure due to voltage drop and will void the warranty e Disconnect both the positive and negative terminals of the battery before installing PIAA H LD Headlamp Conversion Bulbs Do not drop scratch or apply unreasonable force to the bulb This could have an adverse affect on t
