WOW Tips Quick Guide WORKSTATION ON WHEELS WOW TIPS WOW Tips 1 When entering your access code push ENTER after the last digit 2 When the battery drops to 20 the WOW will alarm This alarm may be silenced using the silence button next to the power switch and battery status lights You should plug in the WOW for charging 3 When the battery drops to 10 the WOW will alarm This alarm can only be silenced by plugging in the WOW for charging 4 Plan on plugging in your WOW for charging during your breaks or when you will not be using it for an extended period of time This will avoid the low battery alarms 5 When you charge your WOW put the scanner in its charging base to charge as well 6 You should never power off your WOW unless instructed to do so by the Help Desk Scanner Tips Charging Base If the blue status light on the scanner base is OFF The base station has disconnected from the computer Disconnect the cable in the back of the base station and reconnect it It should flash twice to indicate it is detecting a connection Several seconds later it should come on and stay on If the blue status light on the scanner base is ON The base station is successfully connected to the computer Scanner Tips Hand Scanner If the scanner status light is GREEN The scanner docked in the base and is fully charged It can be used for scanning If the scanner status light is BLINKING GREEN The scanner is dock2. ed in the base and is charging It can be used for scanning CLINICAL INFORMATICS Page 1 Partnering with you to deliver excellent patient care through technology and innovation 1 WOW Tips Quick Guide If the scanner status light is FLASHING RED The scanner battery is low and it needs to be docked for charging before it can be used for scanning If the scanner status light is BLUE The scanner is un docked and can be used for scanning If the scanner status light is FLASHING BLUE The scanner is no longer connected to the base Scan the Bluetooth Association bar code located on the charging base or below the monitor on a WOW to reconnect the scanner to the base CLINICAL INFORMATICS Page 2 Partnering with you to deliver excellent patient care through technology and innovation 1
