UE Alberta Health Mm Services IMPORTANT Aseptic techniques must be used at all times Recommended Guidelines for Reconstitution in the Event of Loss of Vacuum with the Mix2Vial Supplies Required Appropriate size syringe 10 or 20 cc 2 antiseptic swabs Grasp the outer rim of each of the Mix2Vial components Unscrew counterclockwise to separate Place both vials on a clean surface or countertop IY E Carefully detach blue component of the Mix2Vial from the diluent vial and discard 9n Swab the diluent vial top with an antiseptic swab Without touching the white luer lock tip attach a clean syringe to this end tightening firmly Remove clear component of Mix2Vial from product vial with attached syringe while maintaining aseptic technique Wipe product vial top with an antiseptic swab Draw a volume or air into the syringe that is equivalent to the remaining volume of diluent in the vial 9 Place the clear component with the attached syringe into the diluent vial and inject the air into the diluent vial 10 Invert vial and draw remaining diluent into syringe 11 Remove clear component of the Mix2Vial with attached syringe from the diluent vial 12 Place the clear component with the attached syringe containing the diluent into the product vial 13 Carefully push diluent into product vial and proceed as usual Mix2Vialtm is a trademark of West or one of its subsidiaries COMME
