3. and exit the LOK menu The Password Was Not Changed 5 11 Advanced Menu Languages Use this menu to select the language the DSR will display French 5 12 Advanced Menu Firmware Upgrade Use this menu to Flash upgrade the DSR via the RS232 Serial port The preferred method to upgrade the unit is via the ethernet using the built in WaveBrowser See section 6 0150 0238B 5 9 Kalatel DSR 1000eZ Firmware Upgrade WARNING Do not power off unit until the operation is done Do you want to continue ox To upgrade the DSR from this menu requires the following items e APC connected to the DSR via the serial port with a null modem cable e The WinFlash program e The upgrade file For further information and for obtaining the upgrade files and WinFlash program please contact GE Interlogix Technical Support at 1 800 469 1676 Selecting OK will put the DSR 1000eZ into Firmware Upgrade mode The unit may now be programmed using WinFlash The Operation may be cancelled by powering off the unit as long as WinFlash has not started Once WinFlash has started any interruption can permanently damage the DSR 1000eZ After a successful upgrade the DSR 1000eZ will automatically reboot with the new firmware Note The unit must be in STOP mode before going into UPGRADE mode A Caution Do not remove power from the DSR 1000eZ after WinFlash has started A successful upgrade can be verified by opening the About

Caution Erasing the disk removes recorded data without the possibility of restoring it To begin erasing the disk use the Jog to select ERASE then press the Enter button The Erase Disk Warning box will appear Select CANCEL to return to the previous menu or OK to continue All data will be permanently erased Do You want to continue CANCEL OK Erasing Disk To stop the erasing process select CANCEL by pressing the Enter TR button CANCEL Data that was erased before CANCEL was selected will remain deleted permanently 5 3 Advanced Menu 5Audio Record Setting Use this menu to e Enable or Disable the audio recording capability of the DSR Audio Limitations To record audio at least one the unit s video inputs must be set to record video at a rate of 1pps or faster 0150 0238B 5 3 Kalatel DSR 1000eZ 5 4 Advanced Menu Auto Delete Mode Configuring the unit with the Auto Delete mode from 7 to 99 days prevents the unit from displaying or archiving any data that is more than the selected number of days old This feature may be required by law in some jurisdictions please consult with the local authorities Use the Jog to select from 7 99 Days or OFF Press the Enter button to implement the selection If the selection is altered from what was previously selected the confirmation menu will appear Rotate the Shuttle to select Yes or NO ADM Setting ADM will change Are you sure Yes
