AGRILIGHT BRIGHT BY NATURE lagnetic Light Intensity Controller Or Poultry Hoses Dear Client Firstly we wish to thank you for choosing a product by Agrilight B V The ALOSDIMA magnetic dimmer is specially designed for switching lighting on and off in poultry houses and livestock enclosures The dimmer is durable and requires very low maintenance These instructions provide the necessary information for handling and installing your dimmer safely and correctly We therefore recommend that you read the instructions carefully and keep them is a safe place In the event of doubt please do not hesitate to contact your service technician or Agrilight B V for additional information Application The ALOSDIMA magnetic dimmer constitutes part of the Orion system and has been designed for the optimum control of Orion armatures electrical fixtures in poultry houses The ALOSDIMA magnetic dimmer may only be used internally never on the exterior of buildings or enclosures Only Orion armatures compact PL lights may be connected up to the magnetic dimmer Installation It is important to note that the ALOSDIMA magnetic dimmer should only be installed by a certified technician If this is not done the product guarantee will be invalid In compliance with the instruc tions for installation laid down by Agrilight B V all generally and locally applicable building and construction regulations should be respect2. A Output to lights B Input 230V Gland feed throughs diam of leads min 11 mm max 14 mm Electrical circuit diagram OUTPUT 230V 200V B OUTPUT INTPUT LIGHTING 60 X ORION gt Operation Setting luminance levels The magnetic dimmer has 3 manual switches which are used to set the luminance level On dimmer on Off dimmer off High high luminance level High Controller switching is possible at Controller in luminance levels low or medium Medium Low Medium medium luminance level Low low luminance level By Tee i D g eRe The Medium Low switch is only active if the High Controller switch is in the Controller position It is not possible to switch the dimmer to a lower level than luminance level Low This could cause the lamps to become instable and as a result they could switch off Correction of power factor effective capacity If a correction to the power factor is necessary connect a capacitor to the connection points P and N Agrilight B V advises an electrical capacity of 1 uF per light 60 uF per 60 lights Maintenance before performing maintenance on the ALOSDIMA NEVER remove the cover from the ALOSDIMA This may only be done by a certified technician A Disconnect the ALOSDIMA from the power supply Agrilight B V recommends that you have your ALOSDIMA serviced once a year by a certi

6. fied technician to test its operation and to check all fixtures and connections In order to retain the required amount of lighting you are advised to check the entire system regularly to clean the Orion armatures with a damp cloth and to clean the dimmer box with a dry cloth This can cause severe injury to yourself or serious A NEVER clean the ALOSDIMA with a damp cloth damage to the system Ventilation grille The side of the dimmer box is provided with a ventilation grille Never cover this grid and always remove any dust or dirt from the grid using a dry cloth This is to prevent overheating Malfunctions If the control cabinet still doesn t operate correctly Always disconnect the Orion system entirely before opening the cover Be aware of and prevent any accidental activation by others or by an automated control and or dimmer switch of electrically live components Although the ALOSDIMA is designed with safety in mind and is earthed hazards due to malfunctions can never be ruled out Only certified technicians are permitted to perform the electrical installation or measurements tests on the unit When checking malfunctions be aware of the risk In the event of a malfunction never touch the ALOSDIMA unit whilst the power supply is still connected or if the housing of the ALOSDIMA is If the Orion system no longer functions damaged or wet Check for presence of power supply e Check t

8. he following situations for which the customer will be invoiced during the warranty period a Defects or damage resulting from fire earthquakes floods lightning strikes other natural disasters as well as environmental pollution and problems related to power supply Defects resulting from sand mud dirt etc penetrating the housing of the product Defects resulting from transport accidents shock and vibrations etc following the purchase from and delivery of the product by Agrilight B V Defects resulting from negligence carelessness or incorrect storage improper maintenance etc e Defects resulting from improper use such as the use of the unit for purposes not specified in the user manual and or assembly and installation instructions etc Defects resulting from repairs and or modifications If the invoice cannot be submitted together with the product when warranty claims are made If changes have been made to the original purchase invoice or to the customer name on the invoice oS eee The liability on the part of Agrilight B V is restricted to the scope of this warranty and only includes the replacement and or repair of the product Agrilight B V accepts no liability for damages incurred directly or indirectly as a result of any defects in the product Agrilight B V is not liable for expenses incurred as a result of disassembly and assembly mounting or expenses incurred as a result of travel and accommodation 8 Any d
9. he installation of the ALOSDIMA in the event of damage even if the damage in question appears to be superficial or minor In the event of damage please consult Agrilight B V first before you consider installing the product Introduction The ALOSDIMA magnetic dimmer can be used to manually dim Orion armatures in 3 positions High Medium or Low e For dimming a maximum of 60 Orion compact 11W lights e 75 energy saving in comparison to incandescent lamps e 50 energy saving in comparison to TL lighting e Reverse dimming from 100 to 70 luminosity e 3 luminance levels High Medium and Low e Life cycle of lights 8 x longer than incandescent lights e Life expectancy of dimmer 10 years e Suitable for all types of poultry enclosure houses The ALOSDIMA is not suitable for the control of electronic adaptors The magnetic dimmer is designed for the simultaneous control of max 60 Orion PL light armatures of 5 7 9 or 11W The dimmer has 3 luminance levels high medium and low The system is equipped with an automatic delay that ensures that the dimming operation of the dimmer is delayed for the first 30 seconds following activation when the lighting is switched on This precautionary measure is required for ensuring the safe ignition and warm up of the lights After this initial warm up period the dimmer automatically switches to the position set using the 3 switches Technical data Magnetic Light Intensity Contr
10. nal transport whilst carrying out installation activities e Only use insulated tools e Ensure that you do not confuse the phase earth and null connections when connecting this may result in life threatening situations e Ensure that the power supply and voltage corresponds to the power supply and voltage required by the magnetic dimmer These are clearly indicated on the sticker on the housing e When connecting up consult the circuit diagram in this manual and always ensure that you comply with the legally applicable connecting requirements e g NEN 1010 for the Netherlands Sealing rings The bolts of the cover are provided on the inside with sealing rings Ensure you do not lose these rings when removing the cover Itis recommended not to unscrew the bolts entirely from the cover ce so that the sealing rings around the bolts remain in place Mounting the box to the wall The dimmer boxes are provided with four mounting holes so that the boxes can be easily mounted to the wall Ensure that the space in which the system is installed is free from moisture and frost and that it is well ventilated Connecting up Disconnect the mains power supply before you connect the ALOSDIMA Ensure that the power supply cannot be switched on accidentally whilst connecting the unit Feed the cables through the gland feed throughs in the cabinet in accordance with connection diagram TYPE ALOSDIMA
