Troubleshooting Navionics Charts in Lowrance XOG units Steps to bring up the software version of the XOG unit 1 Make sure the unit has the most up to date software version to verify what this is visit www lowrance com select DOWNLOADS and PRODUCT SOFTWARE UPDATES Select your GPS unit s model If your unit requires a software update please do not use the Navionics chart to download the software or have the Navionics chip inside the unit when the software is being updated as this will corrupt the Navionics chart and render the card useless a Press MENU icon on display b Select OPTIONS c Select the THIRD TAB PAGE 3 ROMAN NUMERALS d Select DEVICE INFORMATION e The software version of the unit is located under the line that says XOG must be at least 1 4 0 Steps to turn on the Navionics information 1 Press MENU icon once and select OPTIONS icon select CATEGORIES DRAWN icon 2 Ensure that the NAVIONICS file has a check mark or X next to it 3 When NAVIONICS is highlighted menus for the SUB CATEGORIES will appear ensure ALL items have a check mark or an X next to them Steps to bring up the Navionics chart files Note TURN BY TURN NAVIGATION does not work when using the Lowrance amp Navionics maps on the XOG Press the MAIN MENU icon Select OPTIONS icon Select NAVIGATION MODE icon button to display the NAVIGATION MODE screen Select the POINT TO POINT icon Press MAP DATA icon Sele2. ct NAVIONICS on iWay units the next steps are not necessary Select NAVIONICS CHOICE There will be numerous files such as LOWRANCE EAGLE MIAMI DEMO and the files for the Navionics chart a HotMaps will be the state the lake is in b Marine charts will be the code of the area in question GOLD charts have at least three different files that cover the area 9 Press the code icon and press ENTER 10 EXIT out of ALL MENUS TURN BY TURN is selected as the default setting When POINT TO POINT is selected a dialog appears asking if you want to change modes Choose YES and close the NAVIGATION MODE screen Settings in the MAP DATA pull down menu do not need to be changed unless a Navionics card is used When a Navionics card is inserted the MAP DATA pull down menu becomes active To switch back to TURN BY TURN go to the NAVIGATION MODE screen and select TURN BY TURN CONN NB WN navionics com
