NLIS Database User Guide Mob based movements for PIC based accounts Producers feedlots third parties agents saleyards sporting events transit centres export depots and processors Livestock with visual tags iD National Livestock Identification System This User Guide explains how to submit transactions and run reports for livestock identified with visual tags A mob is defined as one or more animals with visual tags Currently sheep and goat transactions must be recorded on a mob basis whether or not the animals are identified with electronic tags However if the animals do have electronic tags you can also record their movements on an individual basis For more information about recording movements for livestock with electronic tags see the NLIS Database User Guide Livestock with electronic devices for your database account type To record mob based transactions you must specify sheep or goats and supply the Property Identification Codes PICs of the properties that the animals moved from and to the date of the movement sale or kill the NVD Waybill number the number of head in each mob and any other information required for a specific transaction When you submit a transaction you can upload a scanned image of the NVD Waybill form which must accompany the livestock as they move along the supply chain In some cases you can also enter a comment for example Goats sent direct to abattoir or Sheep exhi
