1. 9020 9021 CE User Manual Optiseat v2 11 12 3 2014 There is a LED on the control box that indicates whether the cushion is on or off green or red and a push button to turn the cushion on off Check whether the system is on or off e Press the push button briefly The lamp indicates whether the system is on or off Red is off green is on Switching on and off e Hold the push button for 3 seconds The LED changes colour and the system is now on or off This is also indicated by an acoustic signal 2 short beeps for on 1 beep for off When someone sits down on the cushion the LED on the control box will show the status of the system Reminder function e When the system is switched off and a client is helped out of the chair the next time the chair is used the cushion is automatically switched on after 10 seconds By default the Optiseat works as follows e Switch the system on When the client gets out of the chair a beep sounds for 4 seconds adjustable to activate the client s self correcting ability If the client does not sit down again within 4 seconds a call signal will be sent to the receiver or the pager If the client does sit down within 4 seconds the beep signal stops and nothing else happens Batteries In the Optiseat only two AA 1 5V penlight batteries may be used Battery low notification When the batteries are almost empty the LED will flash red gr2. een every 5 seconds If the system is switched on a beep will also be produced once every minute Changes to the default settings The technical customer service representative can change the default time settings and the length of the delay before transmission See the technical manual 9020 9021 cE Technical manual Optiseat v2 11 12 3 2014 Opening the unit To open the unit you must remove four screws The two lower screws are located in the battery compartment Internal settings S1 S2 S3 S4 S1 S2 EJE oO The Optiseat has an alarm delay This is the time that the person has to sit again before the alarm will be transmitted Four time settings are available The standard delay times you can choose from are 1 4 15 seconds and 1 minute other lengths of time are optional The selection from among these 4 lengths of time is made using the first 2 switches S1 and S2 Time 1sec Time4sec Time 15 sec Time 1 min S1 S2 S1 S2 S1 S2 S1 S2 S1 S2 S3 S4 With the third switch S3 the buzzer can be set If this is up ON the buzzer is audible until the end of the alarm delay time set with S1 and S2 If S3 is down OFF the buzzer will only sound for one second regardless of the alarm delay time S1 S2 S3 S4 With the fourth switch S84 the buzzer can be switched on or off When it is switched on the buzzer is audible as set by S3 When it is switched off the buzzer is completely switched
