3. 3 8 15 e Perdix 3 15 DP dix o 1 1 1 Introduction The purpose of this document is to provide some general information how the use Perdix s MSP software It checks the software from end user point of view so it will be much about the client software but some general information will be given also about the protocol engine and back server MSP is generally divided to three sub parts From end user point of view the client side is most important For more information see figure below Back server client 000 01d Users Users of this system can be divided to two major parts end users and service providers This document views the system mainly from end user point of view 1 2 Compability Java 2ME is used as development programming language This program is mainly developed for Symbian s Operating System but it can be run in any Java compatible Operating Systems Also Protocol Engine and Back server are developed using Java 1 3 Purpose The purpose of MSP is to provide a synchronization protocol to PDAs Personal Device Assistants can upload the information provided by service provider to their local hard disc read them update them and send the updated information back to server Server knows who else is using this information and notifies the end user about new update End user can upload the information to him

9. y ready data is for downloading the ready data from Protocol Engine Get data only from the back server is for downloading information assigned for this PDA from the server Get from both place does both options together 934 Update e e Perdix 7 15 erdix Using Update functionality you can change the files locating on your Hard disk After the button is pressed the following window appears f Mobile Synchronization Perdix Press Add Fields to add new fields to the file Yet get the following window f Mobile Synchronization Perdix Now you just select a field and then you can add a Sub field or Sib field to it The following window appears and you can give a name and a value for it Perdix 8 15 erdix Mobile Synchronization Perdix a T Press Add when you are ready MSP makes sure you want to add this field and asks you the following question Just answer OK If you want to cancel the operation or change something press Go Back 4 Mobile Synchronization Perdix You can now add a sub field by selecting a field and pressing the Add as Subfield button Perdix 9 15 erdix f Mobile Synchronization Perdix EP Fill the name and value of the sub field as you did in sibling f Mobile Synchronization Perdix To save the data you have to press Save button Mobile Synchronization Perdix O Perdix 10 15 erdix Delet
