4. cessories such as radios may need resetting if the power is disconnected such as re entering a security code make sure you have the necessary information amp instructions for this before disconnecting your battery For non maintenance free batteries first remove the cell plugs amp check electrolyte level the electrolyte must cover the plates in the individual cells if it does not top up with distilled water Make sure the charger is not plugged into a power socket First connect the red clamp to the positive terminal of the battery then the black clamp to the negative terminal To indicate correct connection amp showing that the battery is not fully discharged all 3 battery status LED s except the green LED marked Power will illuminate other than due to the dual voltage circuitry of the 8A amp 12A versions when only the green battery status LED will illuminate When charging a battery that has not been removed from the vehicle follow point 1 above First connect the red clamp to the positive terminal of the battery and then connect the black clamp to the chassis at a location away from the battery amp the fuel line Connect the mains cable to a 240v socket amp switch the on off to the 1 position the green LED marked Power will illuminate Your battery will now start to be recharged and its progress can be monitored as follows Initially all 4 LED s will illuminate Il As the ch

6. oles using a 6mm masonry drill insert the 2 rawl plugs amp screw in the 2 screws leaving a distance of approximately 4mm between the wall amp head of the screw Offer up the battery charger amp carefully position the holes in the rear of the battery charger body over the head of the screws amp slide down It should be a snug fit but not too tight so that you have to force the battery charger down if required adjust the position of the screws by either unscrewing to loosen the fit or screw further into the wall to tighten the fit ADDITIONAL FEATURES amp INSTRUCTIONS FOR 8 amp 12 AMP 6 12V SWITCHABLE BATTERY CHARGERS 6 VOLT amp 12 VOLT FEATURE Your battery charger is suitable for charging 6 or 12 volt batteries For charging 6 volt batteries make sure the switch is in the 6 volt position CAUTION CHARGING A 6 VOLT BATTERY WITH THE SWITCH IN THE 12 VOLT POSITION WILL DAMAGE THE BATTERY AND CHARGER SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SET THE SWITCH CORRECTLY BEFORE COMMENCING CHARGING Follow all other instructions above for charging your battery SPECIFICATIONS Technical Specification 4 Amp Battery Charger Voltage input AC 230 240V 50Hz Voltage output DC 12V Charging current 4A max 2 4A effective Engine capacity Up to 1200cc Battery capacity 12 48Ah Fuse 15A Blade Type Technical Specification 6 Amp Battery Charger Voltage input AC 230 240V 50Hz Voltage output DC 12V Charging current 6A max 3 6A effective Engine
