3. 01333 1 Modification 08 12 2013 ANThill User Guide blacklinegps 01 PRIOR TO INSTALLATION Information for each ANThill beacon must be entered into your Loner Portal Account to enable ANThill location reporting 1 Log in to your Loner Portal account 2 Goto Menu gt select Activate a Device under the Account heading 3 Select ANThill Beacon under the Choose a Device drop down menu gt enter the Unit ID and Activation Code found on the product label on the back of ANThill see Hardware Details section Once ANThill has been activated installation can commence IMPORTANT During installation take care to note the Unit ID and location of each Beacon that you install PACKAGE CONTENTS A ANThill Location Beacon B ANThill Location Beacon Bracket attached C 2 6 x 1 Screws D 2 Drywall anchors po000pD SS SUGGESTED INSTALLATION Select an installation location m ANThill beacon should be installed wherever GPS signals are unreliable or unavailable By default ANThill will transmit in a radius of about 40 feet but range is dependent upon obstructions in the environment and mounting position E Beacons should be mounted as high in a room as practi cal with minimal obstructions to interfere with the wireless signal Continuous coverage of an area is not a requirement but it is beneficial H It is ok to have ANThill sign

8. f ANThill 1 Press and hold the Power Status Button until the green status light turns off AFTER INSTALLATION Assigning ANThill locations in Loner Portal Once ANThill has been installed 1 Log into your Loner Portal account 2 Goto Menu gt select Beacon Setup under the Features heading 3 Add the following information for each activated ANThill Name This should be a friendly name that identifies the location e g Main Floor Entrance Site Address amp This should be the street address of the nearest entrance to the site where the corresponding ANThill is installed Longitude amp Latitude X This should represent the actual location of the installed ANThill as Closely as possible The pin on the map can be dragged to automatically calculate the longitude and latitude IMPORTANT An effective response to an emergency situation depends upon the accuracy and completeness of this information TRANSMIT POWER SETTINGS The Transmit power level affects the range of ANThill s signal ANThill is shipped in the lowest transmit power setting which is appropriate for most installations To change the transmission power setting 1 Press and continue to hold the button on ANThill The Status Light will turn on and then off Continue to hold the button The light will begin to blink in sets of flashes that indicate power levels 2 Release the button on the set of flashes to program your desired power level
