N The Safe Shop WE providing safe solutions Operating Instructions EDL20 FireStar Home Safe Knob LED Battery Cover Ia 3 i aJs liss Screw Aaaa Cover 0 E ze C Button Button Section A Inserting The Batteries Slide the battery cover to the right to open and insert 4 x AA batteries The LED will flash and a melody will sound to confirm the batteries have been entered correctly section B Opening the FireStar EDL20 Lock For The First Time The default factory PIN code is 1234 Step 1 Press button C Step 2 Enter 4 digit factory PIN code Step 3 Press button A 4 second melody confirms the correct PIN code Step 4 Turn the knob clockwise to open the safe At the end of the code entry sequence a warning tone beeps 4 times if an incorrect PIN code has been entered IMPORTANT If an incorrect PIN code is entered five times consecutively the lock will become inactive To reactivate the lock enter the correct PIN code C twice consecutively Eg C1234 C1234 section C Setting A New PIN Code With the door in the open position Step 1 Press memory button M located on the inside of the door to enter programme mode Step 2 Enter the new PIN code minimum of 4 digits maximum of 16 digits Step 3 Press button E g M1234 The new PIN code is confirmed and accepted with a 4 second melody section D Using The FireStar EDL20 Lock Step 1 Follow Section B steps 1 4 u2. sing the new PIN code you have set section E When To Replace The Batteries lf the door will not open with the correct PIN code but the LED flashes and the melody sounds this indicates that the batteries are running flat and do not have sufficient power to actuate the solenoid In this case you should replace the batteries 4 x AA following Section A IMPORTANT The PIN code you have set will not be erased even when the batteries are completely flat You may still use your existing PIN code once new batteries have been inserted The battery life span is approximately 2 years based on the safe being accessed 3 times per day
