7. 6 Set up with the indicating and adjustment module PLICSCOM VEGA Function Configuration bale Mount Dismount indica ting and adjustment mo dule 6 Set up with the indicating and adjustment module PLICSCOM 6 1 Short description The indicating and adjustment module is used for measured value display adjustment and diagnosis It can be mounted in the following housing versions and instruments e All sensors of the plics instrument family in the single as well as in the double chamber housing optionally in the electronics or connection compartment e External indicating and adjustment unit VEGADIS 61 From a hardware version 01 or higher of the indicating and adjustment module as well as of the corresponding sensor an integrated backlight can be switched on via the adjustment menu The hardware version is stated on the type label of the indicating and adjustment module or the sensor electronics Note You can find detailed information on the adjustment in the operating instructions manual ndicating and adjustment module 6 2 Insert indicating and adjustment module The indicating and adjustment module can be inserted into the sensor and removed again at any time It is not necessary to interrupt the power supply Proceed as follows Unscrew the housing cover 2 Place the indicating and adjustment module in the desired position on the electronics you can choose any one of four different positions eac

Mount VEGAFLEX 63 in such a way that the distance to vessel installations or to the vessel wall is at least 300 mm 12 in During operation the probe must not touch any installations or the vessel wall In vessels with conical bottom it can be advantageous to mount the sensor in the center of the vessel as measurement is then possible down to the lowest point of the vessel bottom Fig 3 Vessel with conical bottom 12 VEGAFLEX 63 4 20 mA HART two wire 9cv00L N3 Lv8L 31841 EN 100426 VEGA 4 Mounting Torque with PTFE plated flanges Socket Standpipes or bypass tubes To compensate the normal bias voltage loss due to the seal materials you have to use also disc springs in addition to the flange screws for fastening PTFE plated flanges The flange screws of VEGAFLEX 63 must always be tightened with a torque of approx 60 Nm 44 Ibf ft so that the PTFE washer seals reliably If possible avoid sockets Mount the sensor flush with the vessel top If this is not possible use short sockets with small diameter Higher sockets or sockets with a bigger diameter can generally be used They simply increase the upper dead band Check if this is relevant for your measurement In such cases always carry out a gating out of false signals after installation You can find further information under Setup procedure If a socket is absolutely necessary then the use of a coax probe is r
