ANTLAS LANTERN ROOF LANTERN INSTALLATION MANUAL RINGBEAM ASSEMBLY See Figure 1 for typical kerb fixing detail Check that the kerb is square by measuring equal distances from corner to corner Layout the ringbeams to the correct side of the kerb Lift the ringbeam onto the top of the kerbs Make sure the ringbeam is sealed to the kerb base Remove the ringbeam flaps from the ringbeam Slide the ringbeam bracket into the channel on the adjoining ringbeam and push together Fix the ringbeam screws into predrilled holes Lift the ringbeam flaps into place Make sure the ringbeam flap engages into the correct position Flap engages at approximately 90 A FRAME PREPARATION amp ASSEMBLY Loosen the pre fixed top screw to allow the top bracket to move freely On a hidden tie bar push the steel bracket into the side of the central rafters Screw down the top screw to secure the rafter bracket Place the rafter bracket into the slot on the ridge opposite Engage the rafter bracket into the slot provided on the ridge Locate into position with the top rafter bracket and tighten the screw Slide the adjacent rafter over the steel angled bracket Slide the bell rafter over the pre fixed ridge bracket Tighten pre fixed screw to secure the bell rafter Fix the gusset cover over the Fix the gusset with screws provided hidden tie bar Secure with screw and cover wit2. Glue packers into the bottom of the glazing end closer the correct sealant Slide glazing end closer over the bottom of the glazing Remove cover tape from double Lift glass into place behind the rafter sided tape on the glazing shelf end stops and press down glazing Fit all units of glass keeping glazing end closer between rafters ROOF VENT OUTER FRAME Remember to clear both sides and always use the correct sealant Remember to remove tape from both sides When fitting roof vents always remove foiled or plastic tape from surface of units before sealing Fix glazing end cover and locate Remove cover tape from glazing shelf glazing behind rafter end stops Seal both sides of the internal female muntin bar close to the internal edge Always use the correct sealant Muntin bars have female and male connectors Place the female muntin bar under the glass unit and press down Locate the roof vent outer frame between the rafters Seal both sides of the external male muntin bar close to the edge and press into position On wider roof vents have someone push from the inside to prevent deflection Continue this process on the top pane of glass ROOF VENT ALUMINIUM SASH GLAZINGAT RIDGE INSTALLATION DETAILS IMPORTANT INFORMATION Always remove any tape from GLASS units wher glass jointers are to be fitted before installation SEALANT SG Remove any tape from gl
3. ass edges SEALANT SEALANT Locate the hip pressure plate centrally over the hip rafter and fix down with screws Centralise the ridge pressure plate between the rafter pressure plates After ridge cap is installed locate the cover caps over pressure plates and fix securely with a rubber hammer Position the central pressure plate over rafters Screw the pressure plates through the predrilled holes provided Fix the ridge pressure plate centrally to the main ridge body with screws Knock ridge cover cap unto ridge pressure plate using a rubber hammer Glazing Ridge pressure plate is screwed to main ridge Aluminium rafter AA e ret SI i Pal 5 Le air Ridge ROOF VENT SASH GLAZING Loosen grub screw on sash corners with an allen key prior to glazing roof vent Remove one side of the roof vent sash Remove cover from double sided tape ni Ne Locate the side of roof vent sash by slotting the corner cleats into the adjoining internal chambers Secure the side into place by tightening the grub screw at the corners SS Oo GNRLE ROOF VENT SASH GLAZING Take the wedge gasket and starting at the corner push it in between the glazing and aluminium vent Snip the wedge gasket internally at the corners 9 When fitting the roof vent sash position the sash into place with the
