INSTALLATION Custom Installation External IR Infrared Remote Installation The BDP 105D features an IR IN port on its back panel If the player is to be installed in an equipment cabinet where direct line of sight is not available for the remote control you can purchase an external IR Remote Sensor and plug it into the IR IN port Place the sensor head at a location where there is direct line of sight to ensure reliable operation Rear Panel 3 5mm Mono Cable External IR Remote Signal IR IN Signal Identifications 3 5mm Mono Plug Tip IR carrier signal Sleeve Ground NOTE e When an external IR sensor is plugged in the original IR sensor window on the front panel will be disabled e The IR port on the BDP 105D is NOT compatible with the prior generation of external IR Remote Sensor IR ES1 which is used on BDP 83 e OPPO cannot guarantee that the IR IN port will be compatible with devices that are not manufactured by OPPO Connecting the IR IN port to an incompatible device may result in damage to the connected device or the player e Please contact OPPO customer support if you plan to integrate the player into an IR distribution system Customer support can provide recommendations on how to properly connect the control signals RS232 Control The BDP 105D has an RS232 control port and can be integrated into most custom home theatre control systems Please a

LJ CJ The BDP 105D supports multiple output resolutions For a EH aa H gt Ef detailed discussion on how to choose the best output resolution RU SEE AE lease refer to the Select the Best Output Resolution section E P lt x on page 25 of this manual O If you would like to change the output resolution you may do so by pressing the RESOLUTION button on the remote LIGHT Make sure the HDMI cable is properly connected Turn on the TV and adjust the TV to use its HDMI input port Make sure that the player is turned on Although the output resolution can be changed while a disc is playing it is recommended that you stop playback and take out the disc before changing the output resolution Press the RESOLUTION button The Resolution Menu appears on the TV screen If the TV does not support the current resolution and you cannot see the Resolution Menu the current resolution is also displayed on the player s front panel Use the UP DOWN ARROW buttons to select the new output resolution You may also press the RESOLUTION button multiple times to cycle through the available output resolutions Press the ENTER button to apply the selected output resolution If you do not want to change the output resolution press the RETURN button to exit and return The following output resolutions are available NTSC output 4Kx2K gt Auto 1080p 60Hz 24Hz 1080i 60Hz 720p 60Hz 480p gt 480i gt Source Direct
