CAPTURE SETTINGS COLOR Color allows you to adjust the color profile of your video footage There are two Color options GoPro Color default and Flat GoPro Color delivers the same great color you capture when Protune is turned OFF Flat results in a neutral color profile that can be color corrected to better match footage captured with other equipment offering more flexibility in post production Due to its log curve Flat captures more details in shadows and highlights Color Setting Resulting Color Profile GoPro Color Default GoPro color corrected profile Flat Flat neutral color profile 39 CAPTURE SETTINGS ISO LIMIT ISO Limit adjusts the camera s sensitivity in low light environments and creates a balance between brightness and resulting image noise A higher ISO Limit will result in brighter footage but you may experience more noise A lower ISO Limit will result in darker footage but will deliver reduced noise ISO Limit Setting Resulting Video Quality 6400 Default Brighter video in low light increased image noise 1600 Moderately bright video in low light moderate image noise 400 Darker video in low light reduced image noise SHARPNESS Sharpness controls the sharpness of your video footage There are three Sharpness options Low Medium and High Sharpness Setting Resulting Video Quality High Default Ultra sharp video Medium Moderately s

10. the Shutter Select Button to select it CAPTURE SETTINGS You can customize the way your HERO3 camera captures Video and Photos in the Capture Settings menus such as Upside Down Looping Video and White Balance Mounting your HERO3 Upside Down but wish the files to appear upright when viewing or editing This setting eliminates the need to flip your Video or Photos after recording Camera right side up Default Camera upside down Turn on Spot Meter when filming from within a dark space pointing the camera into a brighter setting such as filming the outdoors from within a car When Spot Meter is set to ON appears in the LCD window OFF Default ON CAPTURE SETTINGS SIMULTANEOUS VIDEO AND PHOTO Simultaneous Video and Photo mode allows you to simultaneously capture both Videos and Photos You can set the camera to take a Photo every 5 seconds 10 seconds 30 seconds or 60 seconds while you record Video To set your camera to Picture In Video mode verify that a supported Video resolution is selected and that Protune is turned OFF OFF 5 seconds 10 seconds 30 seconds 60 seconds NOTE You can capture Simultaneous Video and Photo in one of the following resolution settings 1080p24 fps 1080p30 25 fps 720p60 50 fps or 1440p24 fps 32 CAPTURE SETTINGS Simultaneous Video and Photo continued Your resulting Photo siz

Wi Fi Remote User Manual included with the remote Actual results may vary depending on presence of wireless interference 50 CONNECTING TO GOPRO APP USING YOUR HERO3 WITH THE GOPRO APP FREE The GoPro App lets you control your camera remotely using a smartphone or tablet Features include full camera control live preview playback and sharing of select content and more Follow these steps to connect your HERO3 to the GoPro App 1 Download the GoPro App to your smartphone or tablet the Apple App Store Google Play or Windows Phone marketplace 2 Press the Power Mode Button to power camera ON 3 Press the Wi Fi On Off Button o twice then press the Shutter Select Button to enter Wi Fi menu 4 Use the Power Mode Button 9 to cycle through options press the Shutter Select Button to select GoPro App 5 In your smartphone s or tablet s Wi Fi network settings connect to the camera s Wi Fi network The network name will begin with GOPRO BP followed by a series of letters numbers 6 Enter the password goprohero This is the camera s default password You can customize the password at gopro com update If you ve already customized the password enter that password instead of goprohero 7 Open the GoPro App on your smartphone or tablet You will now be able For to control the camera with your smartphone or tablet plus view playback and share select content
