8. ession We highly recommend the use of a cleaning rod guide in order to protect the trigger mechanism ATTENTION Push the cleaning rod only from the cham ber to the muzzle Do not pull back the rod if it left the muzzle Otherwise the muzzle could be damaged Only use bronze brushes as steel brushes can damage the barrel Cleaning with a cleaning rod guide CLEANING PROCESS 1 Unlatch the bolt and remove it from the receiver 2 Insert a cleaning rod guide into the receiver Remove the sight extension tube clean the muzzle 3 Apply a VFG felt pellet to the cleaning rod adapter and push it through the barrel to the muzzle 5 Apply a new VFG felt pellet to the cleaning rod adapter and moisten it with Rimfire Blend 6 Insert the moistened VFG felt pellet into the barrel and push it to the muzzle with short movements Remove the soiled VFG felt pellet and pull back the cleaning rod Intensive cleaning after 200 300 shoots After 200 300 shots the barrel should be cleaned with a bronze brush Push the brush in the direction of the muzzle Repeat this three times Only a bronze brush can completely remove lead remnants Apply anew VEG felt pellet and push it through the barrel to the muzzle Repeat this until the felt pellets are no longer soiled 10 Insert the oil moistened VFG felt pellet into the barrel and push it to the muzzle with short movements 11 Remove the cleaning rod guide clean the action system of the r
