Remote Control Solar Utility Light Model SMO005 USER GUIDE Installation a Mount the light unit to the desired indoor location Note The location of the light must be within a distance of 6 of the solar panel due to the length of the connection cable Tip the Light Unit performs well if mounted on a vertical wall and can be tilted to achieve the ideal light direction required b Mount the solar panel outside the building in a position that will receive good exposure to direct sunlight during daylight hours Mounting screws are included TIP the solar panel can be tilted once the assembly housing has been fixed in position To achieve best performance position the solar panel facing South and tilted at between 30 and 55 degrees c Connect the cable from the Light Unit to the Solar Assembly Remove the plastic cap part G on plug end part E and connect the Solar Assembly cable to the Light Unit cable using the screw connector provided please turn clockwise to fasten Plastic cap a Plug cap E For First Time Use This Utility Light is supplied with rechargeable AA batteries fitted into the Light Unit As supplied these batteries will normally be flat We therefore recommend that when fitted from new the ON OFF switch should be left in the OFF position for the first 4 days to ensure the solar cell fully charges the batteries After this period set the ON OFF switch to ON The Light Unit should shine
