CAE SHIFTING TECHNOLOGY 45141 ESSEN CNS CHRISTIAN AU LEIMKUGELSTRASSE 3 45141 ESSEN PHONE 49 201 8777 802 E MAIL INFO CAE RAGING DE WWW GAE RACING DE INSTALLATION MANUAL CAE ULTRA SHIFTER RENAULT MEGANE III RS CABLE CONTROLLED GEARBOX The shifter is intended for racing cars without interior equipment If center console is mounted it must be dismounted or modified to achieve an acceptable space for the cables The new unit should be mounted directly on to the floorboard so part of the carpet must be removed Never bend the shiftcables To avoid rust film clean the steel parts using use ethyl alcohol Grease all joints often Disassambling e Remove the original shifter completely also the center console if mounted e Die Schaltseile von den Hebeln und dem Schottblech l sen e Originalschalthebel ausbauen Modifying Selection cable end e Remount the big plastic pan from selection cable and cut off the T head of the cable Installation CAE Shifter Put the 4 Spacer to the bolts ae 4 E baa e Seat the CAE Shifter tot he floor and introduce the cables in the housing e Screw the shifter and clip in the cables in the Bracket e Push the Pans on to the balls Installation gearbox bracked reinforcement e e Disconnect and remove battery and battery bracket e Remove Air filter e Srew out the big treadbolt incl steel sheet ee Wark amp SE 4 4 2 mm forms e Fit the Alu she2. et and fix slightly with the Bolt e Mark the 2 Holes for drilling lt e Insert 2 M5 l Threads into 2 the plastic bracked If r not fitting tools available remount the bracked fit the threads and install it again e After this mount the reinforcement glue the screws and tight the screws PLASTIC e Reinstall Airfilter and Battery Before assembling the Balljoints lubricate i seat with good grease After completing the shifter secure the ballstud N have Lock Tite or anything that keeps the screws or with a cotter pin All screws and nuts on the shifter must nuts from coming loose Never bend the shiftcables Tuning shiftrange 6 speed gearbox e Pull off the upper pan of the side rod e Adjust center position 3 4 by adjusting the Spring stop gt gt gt gt gt gt e Shift lever should stand staight i this position e Shift the gearbox now in 3 or 4 for this push the gearlever only forward or backward s Adjust the siderod R L THREAD now for pull or perfect fitting to the ball and press it on Now the at selected gear the play at gearlever to both sides have to be similar otherwise readjust the siderod e Shift to range 1 2 and turn the adjustement screw Hex 2 5mm e Shift to range 5 6 and turn the adjustement screw o Pull the Reverse lock Shift to R Range and turn the adjustement screw e Mount the 3 cotter pins tot he Ball joints Check out all func
