The previously described bookmark feature is unique to VoiceNotes It is not available on any other Wave Player on Windows CE or any other comparable platform The wave file itself of course can be played back on any player supporting the WAV file format 17 VoiceNotes for WindowsCE 1 00 pt The Search feature VoiceNotes includes a comprehensive search feature which allows to search for a recording quickly and efficiently Because it not only searches for the name of a recording but also offers additional search criteria it is much more powerful than a file name based search Tapping on the Search button Al will bring up the search dialog Search for recording Raad file mare t coran A Recording bookmarks must contain Poseo dina rola mick comain Start Search Search Dialog There are three entry lines in which the search criteria can be entered The first line may contain a word or phrase that is part of the file name of the targeted recording The second line may contain a word or phrase which must be contained in one of the attached bookmarks of the recording sought after The third line may contain a word or phrase that is contained within an attached note of the recording being searched for If you fill in all three lines you will only be presented with a list of those recordings matching all three search criteria You can leave any line blank to reduce the number of criteria you want to search2. for The result of a search will be shown in the search result list This list will be available as long as you do not start a new search or quit VoiceNotes However you may switch to the tree or list view of the recording list by using the appearance control Recordings file tree da VoiceNotes for WindowsCE 1 00 18 Transferring recordings to the desktop PC Any recording created with VoiceNotes is a standard Wave file which can played back on any platform that supports the WAV file format In order to transfer a recording to a desktop PC there are two possible solutions for Windows PCs and one for non Windows platforms Transferring recordings to a non Windows PC In order to transfer a recording to a non Windows PC there is up to date there is only the way to attach the recording to an e Mail Microsofts Sychronisation tool ActiveSync formerly known as WindowsCE Services is only available to the Windows platform hence there exists no direct transfer possible Transferring recordings to a Windows PC In order to transfer a recording to a Windows PC you need to install ActiveSync formerly known as WindowsCE Services onto the PC Afterwards you can browse through the file system of your WindowsCE device by using ActiveSync Simply drag amp drop the recordings you want to transfer onto desktop of the Windows PC ActiveSync will then automatically copy the appropriate recordings of you Windows CE device These recordings can be pla

7. erms as soon as you make use of the application VoiceNotes 5 VoiceNotes for WindowsCE 1 00 we Installation There are two different ways to install VoiceNotes CE on your WinCE device which depends on if you install it through your desktop computer or if you directly download the CAB file onto your WinCE device A Installation through your desktop PC If you want to install VoiceNotes through your desktop computer please proceed with the following steps 1 Download the Setup exe file from our download area or use the similar exe file contained on the floppy disk version 2 First you have to establish a connection between the WinCE device and your desktop computer by using the WindowsCE Services 2 x or the new 3 0 version called ActiveSync 3 Double tap the setup exe and follow the instruction VoiceNotes will now be installed through WindowsCE Services ActiveSync on your WindowsCE device Afterwards VoiceNotes is installed completely and is ready to be used B Installation directly on the WinCE device If you want to directly download VoiceNotes onto your WindowsCE device you will have to use the CAB file instead of the setup exe file Follow these steps 1 Download the CAB file onto your WindowsCE device 2 Double tap the file 3 Follow the instructions of the Installer Afterwards VoiceNotes is installed completely and ready to use da VoiceNotes for WindowsCE 1 00 6 Registration You need to unlock your versi

11. ng control elements It is the central control element of the bookmark feature While recording a VoiceNote this button can be clicked to mark a specific point in time of the recording Having finished the recording you will have compiled a list of bookmarks During playback or before it actually starts one can press the Bookmark button to gain access to this list The pop up list will appear just next to the button and one is able to choose the appropriate bookmark by clicking on it VoiceNotes will jump to the point in time associated by the bookmark and start continue the playback from this point The management features of the attached bookmarks can be accessed by selecting the certain recording in the list view and clicking the Properties button El The Properties dialog will appear Clicking on the Bookmark folder tab will show the Properties Bookmark Page Bookmark Page of the Properties Dialog The Bookmark Page shows a list of all attached bookmarks Every bookmark entry can be edited double clicking on it The bookmark name and its position in seconds can be changed afterwards The order of a bookmark inside the list can be changed by selecting the appropriate bookmark name and then navigating it using the Mi W buttons A new bookmark can be added by clicking the Add button Add To customize this newly created bookmark use the methods described above A bookmark can be erased by clicking the Delete button Delete

16. tatus control it provides all necessary data for recording and playing back VoiceNotes recordings The Status control Active Recording name The top line above the position slider shows the name of the active recording The active recording is either the last recorded one or the one currently selected you can select a recording from the playlist or by using the skip fore back buttons Position Slider The current position during a recording or playback is shown by the position slider The position slider is separated into one second segments During a playback the right edge of the position slider defines the maximum length of the recording You can use the slider to jump fore and back during a playback While recording the right edge of the position slider marks the maximum length of the recording which is defined by the amount of free memory Seconds info text The left most info text below the position slider shows the current position in seconds and that of the maximum or remaining amount of seconds During a playback the counter left of the indicates the position of the playback in seconds and the one right of the shows the length of the recording in seconds While recording the counter left of the indicates the amount of time in seconds the recording is already in progress and the one to the right of the shows the amount of recording time still left until the memory is full Memory info t
