The easiest way to adjust is to monitor OHz far left of spectrum while running and try up and down until a null is achieved It will change slowly then have a very sharp null so it is easy to overshoot The Aux input selects an alternate input path for future internal optional down converters The Network Setup menu is used to enter the SDR IP Network IP address and Port number These need to match the SDR IP being used which can be set read from the SDR IP front panel menus The Input Bandpass Menu selects allows selection of the various analog bandpass filters in the SDR IP If auto is selected then they are selected automatically depending on the center frequency Bypass mode bypasses all the bandpass filters the main 30MHz Low pass anti alias filter is still used The RF attenuator selects one of four attenuators in the RF input path The Calibrated Screen selection allows the fft screen to adjust for the selected attenuator settings and keep the signal level display constant regardless of attenuator setting The Trigger In Menu selects various modes that will Start Stop data capture using the hardware trigger input of the SDR IP Pos Neg Edge Sync Selects either edge to trigger a single block transfer of samples from the SDR IP that is specified in the FFT Blocksize menu on the main screen Low High Level Sync Selects a level to start and stop data capture The SDR IP will start sampling and continue to sample as long as the l

16. above 30MHz It is also not protected from voltage spikes and ESD events Ver 3 13 2011 08 27 14 If ch1 is used the preamp attenuator RF gain can be selected The Calibrated screen check box forces the display to remain calibrated regardless of RF gain setting If the red clipping light flashes on the SDR 14 use the Channel 1 RF Gain setting to add attenuation until the red light does not flash it is normal for a random flash to occur during normal operation due to transients on the antenna The External HW Sync should remain unchecked for normal operation of the SDR 14 When the USB Interface is selected one can enter a specific Serial Number in the edit box next to the USB selection and then the program will only connect to a radio with that particular serial number This is useful when multiple radios are plugged into the same PC If the Network Interface is selected the edit boxes for the desired IP and port addresses are used to specify the IP address and port This feature is an option and requires a separate USB to TCP IP Server application running to be able to use The Find button atempts to automatically find any networked radios and display a list to pick from The IP address and Port are automatically filled in when a device is selected SDR Select Device SDA 14 Serial Number EGOO0001 IP 192 166 1 103 Port 50005 Click on Desired Device and Press Select Button Refresh List Ver 3 13 2011 08 2
17. be created to store the program size and position for each instance When using USB connected radios like the SDR 14 and SDR IQ one can also specify in the SDR xx Setup menu the serial number of the device you wish to associate to each instance of SpectraVue This keeps a specific SDR associated to the settings of the SpectraVue instance otherwise it would randomly connect to the first radio it finds which is not always what you want Note Running multiple instances and multiple SDR xx s can use a lot of CPU time so a fast PC is required Ver 3 13 2011 08 27 T 7 4 Managing Frequency Memories There are 20 memory buttons in Spectravue that can be programmed with various frequencies and modes These memory channels are stored in the SpectraVue ini settings file If more memories are needed then the Setup ini file can be saved to a different name instead of the default spectravue ini file name This new file can then be recalled and load in a new set of memories Using this technique one can have as many memory groups as they want by saving to different ini file names For example one could save 20 memory channels for the 40m amateur band in a file called Ham40meter ini Then save 20 channels of public service band frequencies to a file called pubservice ini SpectraVue Version 3 00 File View InputDevice SDR 1 Exit Load Setup Save Setup File As Save FFT to Excel File Save Screen Graphics File Print
