18. motor The power unit for the submersible aerator consists of the reliable ABS three phase squirrel cage submersible motor which has proven itself in thousands of applica tions on submersible pumps worldwide The motors are characterised by a long life and a are fitted with a well proven leak monitoring and thermal sensing system ABS submersible motors are water pressure tight to IP 68 and can be fully submerged to a depth of 20 m The stators are supplied as standard to insulation class F for 155 C ABS submersible aerators can be supplied with motors for 50 Hz and 60 Hz and for a range of voltages The 50 Hz units are suitable for a voltage range from 380V to 420V three phase The 60 Hz units are supplied for a rated voltage of 460 V three phase In the case of usage with frequency invertors the following regulations apply Depending on selection all TA TAK submersible aerators are suitable for use with frequency invertors Observe the EMC directive and study carefully the operating instructions provided by the manufacturer of the frequency invertor The motors are designed in their standard execution for use with contactors If it is intended to operate these using frequency invertors then the electro magnetical compatibility requirements should be ordered Cables of special design for the power supply and con trol circuit of the motor are water tight and can not be removed from the motor According to the motor s
