1. 4 Center the truck box on the truck bed rails at desired location if foam strips or other surface protection are provid ed by the truck box manufacturer be sure to position it on the surface of truck box that will come in contact with truck bed rails This will HELP protect the finish of the truck 2 if available use existing slotted holes in step of truck box or simply locate the site for a mounting hole on both the right and left steps of the truck box The holes should be located 5 8 inside the edge of the truck bed rail and should be at diagonal corners See Dia 1 Mark these positions for drilling Select or dal oneal mounting holes then remove the truck on each side of the truck box from the truck and drill 1 4 holes box at diagonal corners in the box as marked 3 Insert a J bolt from the bottom of the truck box through one of the holes in the step Place flat washer over the threaded Truck Box end of J bolt and Lip Base secure in place with the locking nut See Dia 2 Repeat on other side 4 Reset the box into Elat Washer the desired location on the truck bed 5 Tighten locking nut down using 1 2 open end wrench or ratchet with 1 2 deep well socket Repeat for J bolt on other side NOTE Ensure that the hook of the J bolt engages the bed lip before completing the tightening procedure See Dia 3 END VIEW TOP VIEW looking down into truck box Locking Nut Truck Box L2. ip Base Truck Bed Rail Lip NOTE itis importantio check the tight ness of the J bolt periodically to insure thatthe truck box is properly attached to thetruck bed Aluminum amp Steel INSTALLATION Cross Bed Truck Boxes INSTRUCTIONS
