1. PORTABLE VENTILATOR ITEM NO HVHFO8 HVHF12 PORTABLE VENTILATOR OPERATORS MANUAL READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION Read and follow all instructions before operating blower Do not use fan if any part is damaged or missing WARNING This blower has a 3 prong grounded plug and must be inserted into a grounded outlet for safe operation and to reduce the risk of electrical shock This product can be used indoor or outdoor with a proper GFI outlet Rules for Safe Operation Never insert fingers or any other object through the grill guard while the blower is in operation Unplug the blower when moving from one location to another Unplug the blower when removing grill guards for cleaning Be sure the blower is placed on a stable flat surface when operating Do not use blower in a window For ventilating out a window use portable ducting Do not alter the blower in any way Ensure grill guards are in place before operating blower Do not block the inlet or the outlet of the blower In case of abnormal noise or smell TURN OFF the blower immediately Ensure the blower is properly grounded Do not run cord under carpeting Do not cover cord with throw rugs runners or similar coverings Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over Keep children away from blower CAUTION Do not alter the blower s assembly Be sure FRONT and REAR GUARD screws are completely screwed down in2. locking position before operation If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard and not void warranty CLEANING amp MAINTENANCE WARNING Unplug from electrical supply source before cleaning After servicing any safety device including grills and blades must be reinstalled or remounted as previously installed Use soft damp cloth then wipe with a dry cloth Do not use harmful cleaners Do not bend the blade The guard must be kept clean to allow for proper air flow and motor cooling The blower should be serviced every 200 operating hours and a maintenance log must be maintained to qualify for warranty period WARRANTY Every new blower is covered by warranty to be free from defects in materials and workmanship to the extent that within one year from the date of purchasing the blower will either be repaired or replaced at our discretion This warranty applies to the original purchaser only The warranty is null and void in case of abuse accident alteration neglect in operation and maintenance not in accordance with the instructions The warranty does not included any labor or transportation cost incidental to the removal and re installation of the unit No warranty claims will be honored unless prior authorization is obtained from manufacturer Please call Ventamatic Ltd at 1 800 433 1626
