2. ater     To prevent a possible fire  do not block  air intakes or exhaust in any manner     A heater has hot and arcing or sparking  parts inside  Do not use it in areas where  gasoline  paint  or flammable vapors or  liquids are used or stored       The unit must be placed with a clearance    of 40in to the wall and 12in to the ceilng     This heater is hot when in use  To avoid  burns  do not let bare skin touch hot  surfaces  High temperature  keep  combustible material such as furniture   pillows  bedding  paper  clothes  curtains  at least 3 feet  0 9m  from the front of the  heater and away from the side and rear     The unit is at high temperature during  operation  It stays hot for a period after  shut down  Potential danger would occur  when touching it during this period       Do not place the unit close to curtains    and or other flammable objects  Otherwise  there will be a danger of catching fire       Do not cover the unit with anything    during operation or a short time after  shut down       Do not wrap the power supply cord on    the unit       The unit must be handled with care     Avoid vibration or hitting the unit       The unit must be securely grounded    during operation     15     16     17     18     19     20     Zi     22     23     24     25     26     27     28     29     When damaged  the unit must be  repaired by a professional repairing  team     If the supply cord is damaged  it must  be replaced by the manufacturer  its  service agent or s
3. be   5  on top of L Bracket  Insert the Bolt   6   through Washer   7  and place into the L Bracket and L Tube  holes  Screw securely with Washer and Nut   8      3  Insert L Tube  Section A  into the hole  Section C  of Control  Box   1   Secure with Screw   9      4  Clip Power Supply Cord with Cord Clip   10   Attach it onto  L Tube     5  To reduce the risk of fire  do not store or use gasoline or  other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of the  heater     6  CAUTION   High temperature  risk of fire   Keep electricalcords  drapery  furnishings  and  other combustibles at least 3 feet  0 9m  from  the front of the heater and away from the side  and rear        OPERATION    The heater must be properly installed before it is used  Plug  the unit into a GFCI protected wall socket  Ensure the power  being used is 120VAC           2  Press the   On    button on the control panel  The blue indicator  light will start flashing  which means it is in Standby status   Press the    On    button on the remote control or once more on  the control panel to turn on the heater  When on  the blue indicator light will stay solid     3  To switch off the heater  press the    Off    button on the control panel  The blue indicator light will also turn off and the remote will no longer be    functional  Pressing the    Off    button on the remote control will shift the appliance into Standby status and the blue indicator light will start  flashing     MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING    Befo

6. nnecting the three blade plug to a two plug receptacle  The green grounding lug extending  from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground  such as a properly grounded outlet box  The adapter should  not be used if a three slot grounded receptacle is available           Ta  ADAPTER         1  METAL SCREW  COVER OF GROUNDED GROUNDING  OUTLET BOX RKS MEANS anoun A   Ta    a  A   B          VENTAMATIC  LTD  LIMITED WARRANTY  Ventamatic  Ltd  extends this warranty to the original retail purchaser of this heater     The heater is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one  1  year from the date of original  retail purchase  No other parts or components are warranted  There is no warranty for defects caused by abuse  Repairs or  replacement parts supplied under this warranty are warranted only for the period of this warranty  that is  one  1  year   from the date of the original retail purchase of the unit  In the event of a defect or malfunction  we will replace or repair the  defective part or component only and return the new or repaired part to you freight prepaid  You must bear all other  expenses incurred in obtaining repairs  including labor required for field repair or replacement  and the cost of shipping the  defective part to us  You must also bear the cost of repair to or replacement of any part or component and the shipping  charges incurred for the repair or replacement and return to you of any part or component not covered by 
7. re cleaning  make sure the power has been turned off at the circuit breaker panel and that the heating element of the heater is cool   2  To maintain the extenal appearance of the heater  wipe it occassionally with a dry duster  During the summer months  or at other times  when the appliance is not in use and is completely cold  wipe the unit with a damp cloth  Store the cord  total heater  and the like in a cool    place when not in use     3  Do not use abraisive cleaning powders or furniture polish  Do not use chemical or abraisive products such as metallic scourers  which may  deteriorate the surface  to clean the appliance     4  Allother servicing should be performed by qualified service personnel     5  Do not disassemble when cleaning     IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS    When using electrical appliances  basic    precautions should always be followed to    reduce the risk of fire  electric shock  and    injury to persons  including the following    1    Read all instructions before installing  or using this heater     Extreme caution is necessary when   any heater is used by or near children  or mentally impaired and whenever the  heater is left operating and unattended     Do not operate any heater after it  malfunctions  Disconnect power at  service panel and have heater inspected  by a reputable electrician before reusing     Do not insert or allow foreign objects  to enter any ventilation or exhaust  openings as this may cause an electric  shock or fire  or damage the he
8. sing     30     31     32     33     34     35     36     37     38     39     Do not use this unit in the heating  system of a hot air centre     Do not immerse this unit into water  for cleaning     The unit should be plugged in a socket  which is easily visible and reachable     Two dark points may exist on the  surface of the heating element and  may turn white during the first few  minutes after it   s turned on  This is  normal  and may not affect the  performance of the unit     To avoid potential fire hazards  never  place your heater or its electrical cord  under rugs or carpeting  Place the  electrical cord away from busy areas to  avoid accidental tripping and contact     To disconnect heater  turn controls to  off  and turn off power to heater circuit  at main disconnect panel  then remove  plug from outlet     Use this heater only as described in  this manual  Any other use not  recommended by the manufacturer  may cause fire  electric shock  or injury  to persons     Surface temperatures become very hot  when operating heater  Children and  adults should stay away to avoid burns  or clothing ignition     Young children should be carefully  supervised when they are in the area of  the heater     CAUTION  MOUNT WITH  BOTTOM OF HEATER AT    LEAST 95IN ABOVE THE  FLOOR OR GRADE     SAVE THESE  INSTRUCTIONS     GROUNDING   This heater is for use with 120 VAC only  The cord has a plug as shown in Figure A below  An adapter  show in Figure C  below  must be used for co
