4. screw I ST4 2X12 Fig 14 A oe Gu 4 a 6 Follow step 5 of installation I page 7 to complete the installation work INSTALLATION III WOODEN HEADER INSTALLATION Before installation remove warning lable and the tape that is securing the adapter and the damper Fig 1 Ceiling joist 2 Install header between ceiling joists using nails or screws 3 Install the fan body to the header thickness 1 5 inch or Ceiling joist more with long screws Reinforce the installation hard ware as needed to prevent the fan body from dropping Fig 15 Fig 16 Fig 15 4 Follow step 5 of installation I page 7 to complete the installation work Circular duct Long screw ST4 2X20 Fig 16 MAINTENANCE I CLEANING WARNING Disconnect power source before working on unit Routine maintenance must be done every year CAUTION 1 Never use petrol benzene thinner or any other such chemicals for cleaning the ventilating fan 2 Do not allow any water to get into the motor 3 Do not soak resin parts in water over 60 C 140 F 1 Remove grille Squeeze mounting spring and pull down carefully Fig 17 2 Wash and clean grille Use non abrasive kitchen detergent wipe dry with new cloth Fig 18 3 Remove dust and dirt from fan body using a vacuum cleaner Fig 19 4 Using a cloth dampened with kitchen detergent remove any dirt fr
5. 2X20 and secure it to the fan body by using screw I ST4 2X12 16 inches and 19 2 inches horizontal joists refer to Fig 4 1 19 2 inches vertical joists and 24 inches refer to Fig 4 2 Screw I ST4 2X12 2 Long screws ST4 2X20 INSTALLATION I JOIST MOUNTING I CONTINUED 5 Remove the lighting cord out from hook FV 11VHL2 Lighting cord Screw driver then remove junction box plate and secure conduit or stress relief to wiring box knock out hole Fig 5 6 Refer to wiring diagram Page 5 Follow all the local electrical safety codes As well as the National Electrical Code NEC Using UL approved wire nuts connect house power wires to ventilating fan wires Fig 6 Black to black white to white green to green i Make sure all connections are fastened firmly after Black to black X Write to white wiring is finished a Green to green Replace the junction box plate and then replace Wire nut lighting cord to hook Fig 5 Black to black Black to black CAUTION Mount junction box plate carefully so that lead wires White to white AST 7 bok are not pinched i yp D Gondut Fig 6 WARNING 1 Disconnect power source before working on unit Conduit Circular duct 2 The lamp s glass is fragile Please handle with care To remove flourescent lamp grasp at base and move back and forth to loosen
