2. _ 99041460A nn snd AGPL OLARAI N N N N N This Automatic Shutter is designed to be used with the Gable Mount Powered Attic ventilator Sufficient air in let area should be provided at the opposite side of the house thru louvered openings in the gable or screen ed openings in the eaves Openings near the gable ven tilator should be closed HV recommends one square foot of open air inlet per 300 CFM of ventilator capacity Use 2 x 4 nominal lumber and build a square to the dimensions shown in Fig 1 inside the gable The opening should be positioned so the shutter will be directly beneath the peak of the roof as high as possible in the gable See Fig 1 Drill through wail sheathing and siding at the four corners of the framed out area Holes should be large enough to insert a sabre saw blade See Fig 2 N 19 LEELA L LLAETPALADS N UUR GAR aN aS en X N N N N A N 4 Outside of the attic draw a line between the four holes to provide a guidline for cutting the siding and sheathing See Fig 3 Cut through siding and sheathing with sabre saw to remove the material inside of the framed out area See Fig 4 Build a frame for the shutter with 2 x 4 nominal lumber to the dimension shown See Fig 5 7 8 10 11 XLS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTOMATIC SHUTTER Place the frame in the opening
