1. top of the motor housing Figure 6 Carefully insert the clevis pin through the holes in the collar and downrod Be careful not to jam the clevis pin against the wiring inside the downrod Insert the cotter pin through the hole near the end of the clevis pin until it snaps into its locked position as noted in the circle inset of Fig 6 FAILURE TO PROPERLY INSTALL COTTER PIN AS NOTED IN STEP 5 COULD RESULT IN FAN LOOSENING AND POSSIBLY FALLING 6 Tighten two set screws at top of the fan motor collar firmly and evenly Fig 6 44 Ceiling Mounting Bracket 44 Ceiling Canopy Figure 5 Ball Downrod Assembly Canopy Bottom T Cover Pin in Locked Positioon Coupling Cover Figure 6 Changing the Downrod Optional NOTE Your fan comes with a 4 downrod attached to the hanger ball In addition you have been provided with a 6 downrod to use if desired If you choose to use the 6 downrod perform the following steps l Remove the hanger ball from the 4 downrod by loosening the set screw at the top of the downrod which holds the hanger ball to the downrod Slide the hanger ball down the downrod and remove the support pin Insert the support pin in the holes at the top of the 6 downrod and slide the hanger ball up the 6 downrod Make sure the support pin is properly seated in the grooves in the top of the hanger ball Tighten the set screw firmly Installing F

L Listed outlet boxes marked FOR FAN SUPPORT The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 feet clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor Avoid placing objects in path of the blades To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning 11 upward and pushed carefully up into outlet box The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box and ungrounded conductor on the other side of the outlet box All set screws must be checked and retightened where necessary before installation TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONALL INJURY DO NOT BEND THE BLADE INSTALLING ARMS ALSO REFERRED TO AS FLANGES WHEN THE BRACKETS BALANCING THE BLADES OR CLEANING THE FAN DO NOT INSERT FOREIGN OBJECTS IN BETWEEN ROTATING FAN BLADES TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE ELECTRIC SHOCK OR PERSONAL INJURY MOUNT FAN TO OUTLET BOX MARKED ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT WITH THE SCREWS PROVIDED WITH THE OUTLET BOX e Unp acking Your Fan Unpack your fan and check the contents You should have the following items 1 Set of blades 3 2 Canopy assembly Ball downrod assembly 1 amp extra dow

Outlet Box Serews Wall Plate Figure 11 box Slide the canopy up to ceiling and over the 2 screws on the hanger bracket Rotate canopy clockwise Next while holding the canopy with one hand slide the canopy cover over the screws and rotate clockwise until tight Note adjust the canopy screws as necessary until the canopy and canopy cover are snug Fig 12 MAKE SURE THE TAB ON THE HANGING BRACKET PROPERLY SITS IN THE GROOVE IN THE HANGER BALL BEFORE ATTACHING THE CANOPY TO THE BRACKET BY TURNING THE HOUSING UNTIL IT DROPS INTO PLACE Figure 12 Attaching the Fan Blades gt Nu lt Metal washers Allen Wrench gt 4 Rubber washers A E t Screws This fan comes with 3 blades following the below procedure for accurate installation Step 1 Attach the blades to the blade brackets using the screws nuts metal washers and rubber washers provided as shown in Figure 13 be sure the jut on the blade bracket to be positioned on the hole located on the blades before screw installa tion Starting a screw into the bracket and blade repeat for the other 3 screws DO NOT tighten too much as the blades may crack Figure 13 Step 2 Tighten each screw securely starting with Figure 15 the center screw Make sure the blade is straight Allen Wrench gt t Screws p Step 3 Fasten the blade assemblies to the motor y following the below procedure for accur

7. an to the Electrical Box TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE ELECTRIC SHOCK OR OTHER PERSONAL INJURY MOUNT FAN ONLY TO AN OUTLET BOX OR SUPPORTING SYSTEM MARKED ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT AND USE THE MOUNTING SCREWS PROVIDED WITH THE OUTLET BOX Pass the 120 volt supply wires through the center hole in the ceiling mounting bracket as shown in Figure 7 Install the ceiling mounting bracket on the outlet box with the screws and washers provided with your outlet box Figure 7 Security tighten the two mounting screws Carefully lift the fan assembly up to the ceiling mounting bracket and seat the hanger ball in the mounting bracket socket Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket socket is properly seated in the groove in the hanger ball Figure 8 This will help to balance the ceiling fan UL Listed Outlet Box Ceiling Mounting Bracket Mounting Screws Supplied with Electrical Box Figure 7 Figure 8 THE TAB IN THE RING MUST REST IN THE GROOVE OF THE HANGER BALL AS FIGURE 8 FAILURE TO PROPERLY SEAT THE TAB IN THE GROOVE COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO WIRING Making the Electrical Connections TO AVOID POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL SHOCK BE SURE ELECTRICITY IS TURNED OFF AT THE MAIN FUSE BOX BEFORE WIRING If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge or experience have your fan installed by a licensed electrician 1 Disconnect the power and remove the existing wall plate and switc

9. ate installation 1 For first and second blade assemblies Remove the screws from the motor attach the first and second blade assemblies to the motor using 3 screws provided secured with Allen wrench Figure 14 2 For third blade assembly Remove the screws from the motor attach the third blade assembly Figure 14 to the motor by securing 2 of 3 screws provided at first secured with Allen wrench Then attach the third screw to the motor by going through the holes on the first blade bracket and third blade bracket see Figure 15 Blade Balancing The following procedure should correct most fan wobble Check after each step 1 Check that all blade and blade bracket screws are secure 2 Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal Check this level by selecting a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on the ceiling Measure this distance as shown in Figure 16 Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement Repeat for each blade Measurements deviation should be within 1 8 Run the fan for 10 Minutes 3 Use the enclsed Blade Balancing Kit if the blade wobble is still noticeable Touching Ceiling Figure 16 Operating Your Fan Restore power to ceiling fan and test for proper operation The fan 4 speed control is used to set the fan speed as follows 0 Turns the fan off
