Figure 13 Attaching the Fan Blades 1 Attach blades to blade arms using three screws with fiber washers Fig 14 Start a screw into the blade arm do not tighten Repeat for the 2 remaining screws and washers 2 Tighten each screw securely starting with the center screw Make sure the blade is straight Repeat steps for the remaining blades 3 Fasten the blade assemblies to the motor housing by lining up the slots of the blade arms with the tabs on the motor housing then tighten the two screws and washers already installed in the blade arms Fig 15 Screws with Fiber Washers Figure 15 TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY DO NOT BEND THE BLADE ARMS WHILE INSTALLING BALANCING THE BLADES OR CLEANING THE FAN DO NO INSERT FOREIGN OBJECTS BETWEEN ROTATING FAN BLADES Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal Check this level by selecting a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on the ceiling Measure this distance as shown in Figure 16 Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement Repeat for each blade Measurements deviation should be within 1 8 Run the fan for 10 Minutes Use the enclosed Blade Balancing Kit if the blade wobble is still noticeable Touching Ceiling Blade Balancing Figure 16 Blades The following p

Ceiling Mounting Bracket Ceiling Canopy 5555 Canopy Bottom Cover Figure 5 Motor Wires Attaching the Fan Motor Ball Downrod Assembl Ceiling Canopy Pin in Locked 7 Assembly Canopy Cover EE Positiogn 1 Remove the set screws clevis pins and cotter pins from the decorative scroll assembly Upper Decorative E place the decorative scroll in the top plate of Coupling Cover motor assembly align the screw holes at the bottom of decorative scroll with holes in the Cotter Pins 2 top plate of fan motor assembly and then Tighten Screw S Scroll Coupling secure with the set screws and clevis pins ia i Cotter Pin Firmly se insert the cotter pin through the hole near the end of the clevis pin until it snaps into its locked position Repeat the procedure for the remaining decorative scrolls NOTE Make sure the three rods are evenly set on the plate Figure 6 of the motor assembly 2 Snap together the wire connection plugs from decorative scroll assembly and fan motor assembly Figure 7 Washer Nut 3 Remove the nut and washers from the top plate of motor assembly and then place the looped end of the safety cable from the decorative scroll between the two washers and secure with nut provided Figure 7 Screws with Washers Figure 7 Installing Fan to the Electrical Box TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE ELECTRIC SHOCK OR
5. may become loose Check the support connections brackets and blade attachments twice a year Make sure they are secure It is not necessary to remove fan from ceiling Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years Do not use water when cleaning Use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing Do not use water when cleaning This could damage the motor or the wood or possibly cause an electrical shock You can apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood blades for additional protection and enhanced beauty Cover small scratches with a light application of shoe polish There is no need to oil your fan The motor has permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings Troubleshooting PROBLEM Fan will not start Fan sounds noisy Lights shut off and will not come back on Remote control SOLUTION 1 2 Su Check main and branch circuit fuses or breakers Check line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing Check to make sure the dip switches from the transmitter and receiver are set to the same frequency Make sure all motor housing screws are snug 2 Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub is tight Make sure wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switc

E INSTALLATION OF THIS FAN A QUALIFIED LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED Outlet Box Figure 1 Heavy Duty Fan Brace Heavy Duty Outlet Box for Fan Figure 2 To hang your fan where there is an existing fixture but no ceiling joist you may need an installation heavy duty fan brace as shown in Figure 2 available at any Home Depot store lt Provide Strong Support Recessed Outlet Box Mounting bracket opening must be toward the top Figure 3 Note You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper blade clearance when installing on a steep sloped ceiling The maximum angle allowable is 25 If the canopy touches downrod remove the decorative canopy bottom cover and turn the canopy 180 before attaching the canopy to the mounting plate Installing the Decorative Scroll Assembly For packaging purpose the decorative scroll is packed disassembled proceed the following steps for proper decorative scroll assembly 1 Secure the decorative scroll to the scroll coupling with two screws provided repeat the procedure with the remaining decorative scrolls Figure 4 Remove the screw from the bottom of scroll coupling installing the bottom decorative coupling cover onto the scroll coupling and securing with the screw provided Figure 4 Scroll Coupling _ Decorative Scroll Bottom Screws B Decorative Coupling Cover Figure 4

Installing the Downrod 1 Remove the decorative canopy bottom cover from the canopy by turning the cover counter clockwise Figure 5 Remove the mounting bracket from the canopy by removing the 1 of 2 screws from the bottom of the mounting bracket and loosening the other one a half turn from the screw head Next turn the canopy counter clockwise to removing the mounting bracket from the canopy Figure 5 3 Remove the clevis pin cotter pin and set screws from the scroll coupling Figure 6 Route the wires and safety cable exiting from the decorative scroll through the upper coupling cover canopy cover canopy and then through the ball downrod assembly Figure 6 Align the holes at the bottom of the downrod with the holes in the scroll coupling on top of the decorative scroll Figure 6 Carefully insert the clevis pin through the holes in the collar and downrod Be careful not to jam the clevis pin against the wiring inside the downrod Insert the cotter pin through the hole near the end of the clevis pin until it snaps into its locked position as noted in the circle inset of Fig 6 FAILURE TO PROPERLY INSTALL COTTER PIN AS NOTED IN STEP 5 COULD RESULT IN FAN LOOSENING AND POSSIBLY FALLING 6 Tighten two set screws firmly on the coupling located at top of the decorative scroll Slip the upper coupling cover onto the coupling The decorative scroll assembly is now completed

OTHER PERSONAL INJURY MOUNT FAN ONLY TO AN OUTLET BOX OR SUPPORTING SYSTEM MARKED ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT AND USE THE MOUNTING SCREWS PROVIDED WITH THE OUTLET BOX Pass the 120 volt supply wires through the center hole in the ceiling mounting bracket as shown in Figure 8 Install the ceiling mounting bracket to the outlet box be sure to align the holes in the hanger bracket with the post holes in the outlet box and secure with screws and washers provided by the outlet box Fig 8 Security tighten the two mounting screws Carefully lift the fan assembly up to the ceiling mounting bracket and seat the hanger ball in the mounting bracket socket Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket socket is properly seated in the groove in the hanger ball Figure 9 This will help to balance the ceiling fan Secure the safety cable to the building structure as shown in Figure 10 UL Listed Outlet Box Posts in the Outlet Box Mounting Washers amp 1 5 Bracket pins A Screws Supplied with Electrical Box Figure 8 Figure 9 VARNIN THE TAB IN THE RING MUST REST IN THE GROOVE OF THE HANGER BALL AS FIGURE 9 FAILURE TO PROPERLY SEAT THE TAB IN THE GROOVE COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO WIRING Ceiling Mounting Bracket Safety Cable 7 Figure 10 Making the Electrical Connections REMEMBER to disconnect the power If you feel yo

15. rocedure should correct most fan Figure 14 wobble Check after each step 1 Check that all blade and blade bracket screws are secure Installing the Ligh BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION DISCON NECT THE POWER BY TURNING OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR REMOVING THE FUSE AT FUSE BOX TURNING POWER OFF USING THE FAN SWITCH IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK 1 Remove 1 of 4 screws from the mounting ring and keep it for future use Loosen the other 3 screws Do not remove 2 Connect the white wire connector from the light kit and fan follow the same procedure with the black wire connectors Fig 17 3 Place the key holes on the light plate over the 3 screws previously loosened from the mounting ring turn light plate until it locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes Secure by tightening the 3 screws previously loosened and the one previously removed Fig 17 4 Install 60W candelabra bulb included Fig 18 10 t Kit 5 Raise the glass shade up against the light plate place looped end of the safety cable over the hook located on the light plate Install the glass shade onto the light plate with 4 screws provided Be sure to tighten all screws Fig 18 6 Restore power and your light kit is ready for operation LIGHT BULBS HAVE NO WARRANTY CAN BE PURCHASED AT ANY HOME DEPOT STORE A Mounting Ring Wire Connection ff E

17. u do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge or experience have your fan installed by a licensed electrician Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your household wiring Use the wire nuts supplied with your fan Secure the wire nuts with electrical tape Make sure there are no loose strands or connections 1 Connect the fan supply black wire to the black household supply wire as shown in Figure 11 2 Connect the neutral fan white wire to the white neutral household wire 3 Connect the fan ground wire green to the household ground wire 4 After connecting the wires spread them apart so that the green and white wires are on one side of the outlet box and the black wires are on the other side 5 Turn the connecting nuts upward and push the wiring into the outlet box CHECK TO SEE THAT ALL CONNECTIONS ARE TIGHT INCLUDING GROUND AND THAT NO BARE WIRE IS VISIBLE AT THE WIRE NUTS EXCEPT FOR THE GROUND WIRE ELECTRICAL DIAGRAMS ARE FOR REFER ENCE ONLY OPTIONAL USE OF ANY LIGHT KIT SHALL BE UL LISTED AND MARKED SUITABLE FOR USE WITH THIS FAN TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT USE THIS FAN WITH ANY SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICE PA CIRCUIT BLACK WHITE m Ground Conductor Outlet Box GREEN Green Ground Lead Ground to Downrod Figure 11 Finishing the Fan Installation 1 Tuck connections neatl
18. y into ceiling outlet box Slide the canopy up to mounting bracket and place the key hole on the canopy over the screw on the mounting bracket turn canopy until it locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes Fig 12 Align the circular hole on canopy with the remaining hole on the mounting bracket Outlet Box Ceiling gt Mounting Bracket 4 Screw ya Canopy Bottom Cover Figure 12 secure by tightening the two set screws Note Attaching the Top Glass Adjust the canopy screws as necessary until the canopy and canopy cover are snug MAKE SURE THE TAB ON THE MOUNTING BRACKET PROPERLY SITS IN THE GROOVE IN THE HANGER BALL BEFORE ATTACHING THE CANOPY TO THE BRACKET BY TURNING THE HOUSING UNTIL IT DROPS INTO PLACE Housing Install 4 x 15W bulbs provided into the sockets of the top plate on the top of motor Fig 13 Remove 1 of the 4 screws from the glass housing and keep it for future use Loosen the other 3 screws Do not remove Hold up the top glass housing to ceiling fan assembly Get through the three screws on glass housing into the three key holes located on the bottom of motor housing twist clockwise to set glass housing firmly with motor housing Secure by tightening the 3 screws previously loosened and the one previously removed Fig 13 Top Glass Housing
