3. wire MM and the black fan wire NN to the black household wire NN Connect the fan motor white wire 00 to the supply white neutral wire 00 using a wire connecting nut BB Connect the fan light supply blue wire MM and the fan mo tor black wire NN to the supply black hot wire NN using a wire connecting nut BB After connecting the wires spread them apart so that the green LL and white wires 00 are one side of the outlet box PP and the black wire NN is on the other side Turn the wire connecting nuts upward and carefully push the wiring into the outlet box PP zo o de 8L Sa HAMPTONBAY COM Please contact 1 877 527 0313 for further assistance Assembly Hanging the Fan continued 7 Mounting the fan standard WARNING When using the standard ball downrod mounting the tab in the ring at the bottom of the mounting bracket must rest in the groove of the hanger ball Failure to properly seat the tab in the groove could cause damage to the wiring Align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy C with the two screws SS in the mounting bracket A Push up to engage the slots and turn clockwise to lock the canopy C in place Firmly tighten the two mounting screws SS Install the remaining two mounting screws SS into the holes in the canopy C and tighten firmly Install the decorative canopy ring K by aligning the ring s slots with the screws in the
4. canopy C Rotate the canopy ring K counterclockwise to lock it in place oly 10 Mounting the fan close to ceiling only as an aid to mounting Do not leave the fan assembly unattended until all four canopy screws are engaged and firmly tightened WARNING The locking slots of the ceiling canopy are provided Carefully unhook the fan motor assembly D from the mounting bracket A and align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy C with the two screws SS in the mounting bracket A Push up to engage the slots and turn clockwise to lock the canopy C in place Immediately tighten the two mounting screws SS firmly Install the remaining two mounting screws SS into the holes in the canopy C and tighten firmly Install the decorative canopy ring K by aligning the ring s slots with the screws in the canopy C Rotate the canopy ring K counterclockwise to lock it in place Assembly Attaching the Fan Blades 8 Attaching the fan blades 0 Fastening the blade assemblies to the motor IMPORTANT Remove the rubber stopper on the black plate Fasten the blade assembly to the fan motor assembly D by below the motor in order to attach the blade assembly to inserting the alignment post into the slot on the bottom of the the motor Replace the rubber stopper to prevent water from motor and tightening the blade bracket

10. 7 0313 for further assistance Assembly Attaching the Light Kit continued 1 Installing the bulbs and glass shade With the power off install two bulbs J Max 14W included by twisting them into the light bulb sockets Place the glass shade 1 into the light kit fitter assembly E aligning the three flat areas on the top flange of the glass shade I with the three raised dimples in the light kit fitter assembly E Then turn the glass shade I clockwise until it stops Attach the pull chain fobs FF to the pull chains exiting the pull chain guide NOTE Periodically check that the glass shade is seated fully clockwise in the light kit assembly NOTE Notice the location of the fan s slide switch This is the switch used to change the fan s directional rotation For more information on the operation of this switch see Slide Switch Operation Instructions on page 12 Operation NOTE Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of blade rotation PULL CHAIN OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Turn on the power and check the operation of the fan The pull chain controls the fan speeds as follows 1 pull High 2 pulls Medium 3 pulls Low 4 pulls off The appropriate speed settings for warm or cool weather depends on factors such as the room size ceiling height and number of fans REVERSE SWITCH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The sli
