1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR 1233 580 Minka Lighting Inc This product is protected by United States Federal and or State Law including Patent and or Copyright laws WARNING SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER ASSEMBLING THE FLXTURE Fig 2 Fig 1 1 Carefully unpack new fixture and lay all the parts on a clear surface 2 Return the three arms to suitable position see figure 2 3 Attach the loop A to the column B by turning it clock wise until tight 4 Attach the column B to the fixture body E by turning it clock wise until tight 5 Thread the pipe nipple G into bottom center of the fixture body E and lock it securely with the hex nut F Raise the lower trim H to bottom of the fixture body E aligning the hole with pipe nipple and screw it with the ball nut 1 6 Place the tube D over the socket of the fixture body E 7 Hang the adorning C to the top of the column B and hang the finial J to the ball nut 1 8 Install a light bulb in accordance with the fixture s specifications DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING HANGING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 1 Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove old fixture from ceiling including the old crossbar 2 Thread nipple C into loop F until snug 3 Thread other end of nipple C with loop attached into crossbar D until snug 4 Place lock washer B over end of nipple protruding through Fig 2 crossbar and threa2. TION 4 Tuck these wire connections neatly into the ceiling outlet box and tice H is important to use proper chain pliers not then raise the canopy G all the way to the ceiling Raise the loop included To OPEN and CLOSE the chain included with this collar H and thread into ceiling loop protruding through canopy fixture Do not open them with other tools that may twist or stress the chain links It is important to use proper chain pliers like the ones shown in the diagram Junction Box Ceiling Your installation is now complete Return power to the junction box and test the fixture J 1 h Fig 3 R j z FIXTURE AXE FIXTURE c3 WRS WRS N WRS i Black or Wi te or re Bare l x 3 Swoth R bbed MF HLE Cans HABE j american WRES WRS 4 5 us lighting B ack Wite Geen or were Jati association Ht Neutral Bare pper ound Intertek
3. d hex nut A onto nipple until tight 5 Take this crossbar assembly and mount to ceiling junction box with junction box screws E Tighten screws securely with screwdriver 6 Using proper chain pliers to open one end link of the chain provided and connect to the fixture loop J Close the link 7 Lace the fixture wires through the chain 8 By measuring determine correct number of links needed for proper hanging height Using proper chain pliers disconnect and discard remaining chain 9 Slip loop collar H over the chain then do the same with the canopy G 10 Open the other end link of the chain and hang the fixture on the loop at the ceiling Close the link 11 Feed the fixture wires through the loop F and nipple C and pull until taut CONNECTING THE WIRES Fig 3 1 Take the black wire from the ceiling junction box and the smooth wire leg from the fixture and twist bare ends together Twist wire connector onto end of wire untit snug 2 Repeat same process with white junction box wire and ribbed wire leg of fixture wire NOTE Twist wires together in the same direction you twist the wire connector onto wires 3 If your junction box has a grounding wire green or bare copper attach this wire and the bare copper wire from the fixture together as step 1 If junction box has no ground wire attach the bare copper ps fixture wire to the green ground screw on the crossbar ___ CHAIN HUNG FIXTURE INSTRUC
