INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Model 9144 READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WARNING SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER 1 Shut off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker box and Fia 1 remove old fixture from ceiling including the old crossbar 7 2 Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clear area Take care not to misplace any small parts necessary for installation 3 By measuring determine correct number of links needed for proper hanging height Using a pair of proper chain pliers disconnect and discard remaining chain 4 Open on the end of the chain E attach the Loop L to the Chain E and close the chain E Slip Loop Collar K followed by the Canopy over the chain Open the other end link of the Chain E and lift the fixture to attach to the ceiling loop D ih close the chain 5 Lace the fixture wires through the chain L Thread nipple I into ceiling loop D until snug 7 Thread other end of nipple I with loop D attached into single bar H until snug 8 Place lock washer G over end of nipple I protruding through M crossbar and thread hex nut F onto nipple until tight 9 Feed the fixture wires through the Loop D the canopy J and gt nipple I and pull until taut N a 10 At this point connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig 2 QT Making sure that all wire connectors are secured If your O l junction box has a ground wire green or bare copp
3. er attach P this wire and the bare copper wire from the fixture together Otherwise attach the bare copper fixture wire to the crossbar using the green screw B provided 11 Take this single bar assembly and mount to ceiling outlet box A with outlet box screws C Tighten screws securely with Fig 2 screwdriver p FIXTURE ature lt wes lt 12 Tuck these wire connections neatly into the ceiling outlet box a Wi TE and then raise the canopy J all the way to the ceiling Raise the loop collar K and thread onto ceiling loop protruding through canopy J ee Be S vise FS 13 At this point unscrew the finial P and the nut O move the BLACK Wie EEN CR HOT NEUTRAL BARE COPPER GROUND bottom holder N and the cage M with glass gently to install the bulbs in accordance with the fixture s specification DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMIUM WATTAGE RAITTING 14 Replace the cage M and the bottom holder N secure with the nut O the finial P Your installation is now complete Return power to the outlet box and test the fixture CAUTION RISK OF FIRE CONSULT A Notice It is important to use proper chain pliers not included QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO ENSURE To OPEN and CLOSE the chain included with this fixture Do CORRECT BRANCH CIRCUIT CONDUCTOR not open them with other tools that may twist or stress the chain links It is important to use proper chain pliers like the ones shown in the diagram
