1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION FOR 4958 WARNING SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER AVERTISSEMENT COUPER LE COURANT AU NIVEAU DES FUSIBLES OU DU DISJONCTEUR READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS MOUNTING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 1 Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware 2 Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts are included as shown in the illustration 3 Position the hanging bracket B through the fixing holes onto the ceiling and make marks drill pilot holes for wood screws D into the ceiling then insert the plastic anchor A into the holes 4 Secure hanging bracket B to outlet box with junction box screws C Size 8 32 0 6 L then secure the outlet box with wood screws D into plastic anchors A in the ceiling The side of the hanging bracket marked GND must face out HANGING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 5 Using proper chain pliers open one link of chains H and connect it to the fixture loops 1 6 By measuring determine connect number of links needed for desired hanging height 7 Open one link of the other end of the chains H and connect it to the ceiling loops G 8 Lace the fixture wires through the chain links H and ceiling loop G and pull until taut CONNECTING THE WIRES Fig 2 9 At this point connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig 2 making sure that all wire connectors are secured If your out2. let box has a ground wire green or bare copper connect fixture s ground Wire to it Otherwise connect the fixture s ground wire directly to the mounting plate using the green screw provided Atter the wires are connected tuck them carefully inside the junction box COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION Fig 1 10 Raise the canopy E to hanging bracket B and the secure canopy E with mounting screws F Size 8 32 0 5 L 11 Place the glass shade K and cup L over the socket J and secure with the socket ring M with the wrench N provided 12 Install the light bulb s in accordance with the fixture s specifications DO NOT EXCEED THE SPECIFIED WATTAGE NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE Your installation is now complete Return the power to the junction box and test the fixture shown in the diagram Fig cnans ncHzoz22s78 4 3mm 4 to Set A 021 295116 Hanging bracket Ground screw Mounting screw Junction box serew 2 Reps I N SKT AING 26 Notice tis important to use prope To OPEN and CLOSE the chain included with this fixture Do not open them with other tools that may twist or stress the chain links It is important to use proper chain plier lik pliers not included he ones
