2. the mounting surface It should be checked regularly for settling and to ensure tt remains properly secured The supplied mounting kit stabilizes the Contain Rainwater Wall laterally and ts NOT intended to carry any weight Wall mounted Contain Ratnwater Walls must be installed beating on the ground or another stable structure Installation Procedure Take this opportunity to pre plan the best location for the Contain Rainwater Wall to be positioned aid a 1 Locate or create a flat surface for the base of the Contain Rainwater Wall to sit level a flat level base is required for the proper installation of the Contain Rainwater Wall We recommend using a pressure treated 2x6 OR cement blocks not included if installing ona ground surface for the base of the Contain Rainwater to sit on A concrete surface is recommended 2 To properly mark out your supplied mounting brackets positioning utilize the two mark measurement of 36 up and 24 apart This 24 measurement is to the outer most holes on the rails but can and should be repositioned to take advantage of solid points on mounting surface Additional lags not included can be installed Multiple tank installations require approximately 37 1 2 between rail mountings on wall surface This measurement is from the center to center of two rails Contain Rainwater Systems Inc recommends adding extra support not included to the wall mounting structure if room permit
3. d slide them over the ready rod coming out of the holes of the Contain Rainwater Wall Thread the hat acorn nut onto the end of the ready rod and tighten by hand only Make sure the nut is loose with approximately 1 4 1 2 space between the washer and the wall to allow for tank expansion when full 7 Position rubber coupler evenly on both tabs making sure you have previously drilled both tabs with a 2 1 2 hole saw step 4a Tighten with a screw driver Note If water tank is being used for potable water a water filtration system would be required as well as anupgraded potable resin coupler coupler available on our website 8 To install an overflow pipe not supplied to the Contain Rainwater Wall cut a 4 length of 3 ABS pipe not induded Glue a 90 degree corner to the 4 ABS pipe and place into an appropriately sized hole you will be required to drill in the side of the Contain Rainwater Wall Add additional pipe and corners to direct the overflow water to the desired area Installation of the overflow port is recommended to direct excess water Contain Rainwater Systems Inc also recommends attaching the overflow pipe to your mounting surface Congratulations You are finished now all you have to do is enjoy your brand new Contain Rainwater Wall Each Contain Rainwater Wall weighs 540 lbs or more when full The Contain Rainwater Wall must always be tnstalled so that the weight ts supported on a firm surface and fas
4. in the top of the tank with a 4 1 4 hole saw Proceed to snugly fit the leaf catcher into the drilled hole on the top of the Contain Rainwater Wall It is also recommended that you screw a mesh wire screen not supplied over the breather hole of the Contain Rainwater Wall to keep insects and minor debris out 4a If installing more than one Contain Rainwater Wall they must be connected by a rubber coupler Using a 2 1 2 hole saw drill a hole at the bottom round tabs in both Contain Rainwater Walls where they will connect together It is also recommended if multiple tanks are being installed to put couplers on one side of the joiner tanks to ease the installation process on the wall surface If only installing only one Contain Rainwater Wall disregard this step Ab If installing several Contain Rainwater Walls together repeat step 4a for each Contain Rainwater Wall to be installed 5 Drill a 1 2 hole into the desired pre threaded outlet area of the Contain Rainwater Wall taking care not to damage the threads This step should be planned before installation and done ona flat surface A 1 2 copper connector found at a hardware store can be used to protect the threads while drilling Screw in the spigot using plumbers tape not included to help prevent leaks Te l LPE 6 Position the Contain Rainwater Wall so the mounted ready rod ends come through the holes in the Contain Rainwater Wall Take the supplied washers an
5. s Contain Rainwater Systems Inc also recommends having a professional evaluate your mounting structure for strength and integrity Contain Rainwater Systems Inc is not responsible for any customer installation defects losses injury A harm 2a Slide the supplied washer over the suppled mounting screw and proceed with mounting the supplied mounting bracket to your structure If you are attaching the mounting bracket to concrete or stucco types of structures or surfaces that do not permit extra backing material for screws you must use the supplied screw plug Again note the Contain Rainwater Wall is not intended to be solely supported by the supplied mounting bracket and is recommended to be on a flat pressure treated 2X6 surface area or concrete and should be inspected regularly for any settling 4 Once mounting rails are installed on the wall surface thread the spring nut onto one one end of the ready rod Insert spring nut into the rail horizontally and turn dockwise to lock into place They should be positioned approximately 6 from end of rail I 4 Before installing the tank to the wall we recommend drilling the hole for the water supply inlet This can be located anywhere on the top of the tank but Contain Rainwater Inc recommends drilling out a tab for placement This step should be planned before installation and done on a flat surface If using a leaf catcher optional available on our website drill a hole
