1. Step 3 Remove the sediment and carbon block cartridge by pushing the blue button up on both cartridges Then rotate the sediment and carbon block filter clockwise to remove Step 4 Connect the replacement sediment and carbon block cartridges to the filter heads The cartridges are added by rotating the cartridges in a clock wise direction Then the cartridges are locked by pushing the blue button down Step 5 Turn water supply on by turning the ball valve in a counter clockwise direction Step 6 Open the faucet and allow water to drain into sink until 7 gallons are discharged LIMITED WARRANTY DO NOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT TO THE STORE Please contact Customer Service at 1 866 253 0447 or support greenwayhp com Greenway Home Products warrants its Vitapur POU Dual Stage Filtration System system to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal operating conditions For a period of one year from the date of retail purchase Greenway Home Products will repair or replace any part of the POU Dual Stage Filtration System with the exception of filter cartridges The provisions of this warranty shall not apply to the following e Improper installation delivery or maintenance failure to maintain the product according to the instructions outlined in the product manual will automatically void the warranty Failure of the product if it is abused misused altered used commercially or used for other than the intended purpose2. Step 6 Step 7 Connect the sediment filter cartridge to the filter head on the water inlet side right side facing unit by rotating the cartridge in the counter clockwise direction until it stops Lock into position by pulling the blue button on the filter head down FIG 3 Connect the carbon block filter cartridge to the second filter head by rotating the filter cartridge in the counter clockwise direction until it stops Lock in position by pulling the blue button down Remove the blue horse shoe from the inlet connection of the twin filtration system right side facing unit Insert the 14 tubing to the inlet on the filtration system Put the blue horse shoe back to secure the tubing FIG 3 amp 4 Remove the blue horse shoe on the outlet connection Insert the 4 white tubing to the outlet on the twin filtration system Put the blue horse shoe back to secure the tubing FIG 3 amp 4 Connect the inlet water line ball valve on the cold water line as illustrated in Fig 3 Connect the other end of the white tubing to the faucet quick connect as illustrated in Fig 3 Remove the blue horse shoe on the faucet quick connect Insert the white tubing and replace the blue horse to secure the tubing FIG 3 FIG 3 ose e e Blue button is up before filter 7 cartridges are installed When vitapur they are in position the blue rF button is pushed down z A P ee oe he 1 4 2
3. gt S gt white tube CS ED to faucet A FIG 4 Insert Tubing Into Collet 1 4 white tube to cold water line f Push in blue horseshoe to secure tubing Turn filters mt LA O j counterclockwise 1 4 N A To remove pull up horseshoe push in collet N A N 4 and pull tubing JA I Red ring Yellow ring lt _ Carbon block filter Sediment filter VSRF 9 VSRF PP Osa VION Initial Start Up Step 1 Turn on the incoming water ball valve and the main under the sink valve If there is no main under sink valve turn on the main water line in the house Step 2 Check the system for leaks over the next 24 hours Step 3 Open the faucet and run approximately 7 gallons of water through the filtration system to flush out the normal carbon fines The water may sputter until the air is purged out of the system The water may appear cloudy due to air purging out of the system Step 4 Once the flushing process is completed the twin filtration system can be used 6 Month System Maintenance Step 1 Turn off the incoming water supply to the dual stage filtration system by turning the ball valve clockwise until it stops Step 2 Open the faucet and allow water to drain to release system pressure Step 3 Place a towel under the filter cartridges to catch any excess water that may drip out during the filter cartridge replacement

7. d in the kit Reinstall the flex line onto the slip joint adapter and tighten Use Teflon tape on all threaded connection points FIG 2 Step 5 Attach the ball valve to the slip joint adapter Use Teflon tape on all threaded connection points gasket Shank adapter Jm Slip Joint Adapter Ball Valve Compression Nut Kitchen cold water faucet shank Rubber Gasket Needle Valve Use Teflon tape on all threads Va Compression nut Slip Joint Adapter Use Teflon tape on thread connecting to kitchen faucet cold water shank Flex line to inlet water supply use Teflon Tape on alll connection points Drilling the Faucet Hole in a stainless steel sink The drinking water faucet should be positioned with function convenience and appearance in mind An adequate flat area is required to allow faucet to rest securely Check the underside of the location for interference Most sinks have re drilled 1 2 of 1 3 8 diameter holes designed for spray hoses The drinking water faucet may be installed using one of these holes despite their larger size If the pre drilled holes cannot be used or are in an inconvenient location it will be necessary to drill a 1 4 hole in the sink or through the countertop next to the sink CAUTION Do not drill a counter top that is more than 1 thick CAUTION Do not attempt to drill through a tiled marble granite or similar countertop Consult a plumber or the cou
8. nter top manufacturer for advice or assistance CAUTION When drilling through a countertop make sure that the area below the drilled area is free of wiring and piping Make certain that you have ample room to make the proper connection to the bottom of the faucet CAUTION Do not attempt to drill through an all porcelain or porcelain coated sink For applications Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 on these types of sinks we recommend using the sprayer hole or mounting the faucet through the countertop Otherwise consult a plumber or manufacturer for advice or assistance Line the bottom of the sink with newspaper to prevent shavings parts or tools from falling down the drain eng Place masking tape over the area to be drilled to help prevent scratches if drill bit slips Mark point with a center punch Use a 4 drill bit to drill a pilot hole Use a 1 4 hole saw to enlarge the hole Smooth rough edges wa with a file AN YA Installina the Faucet Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 Loosen stem nut on the faucet Slide chrome plate and black rubber washer onto the faucet stem The chrome plate large rubber faucet washer and faucet body are above the sink or countertop Place the faucet through the drilled hole and add securing plate star lock washer and 4 stem nut Tighten stem nut firmly while aligning faucet in the desired location Attach quick connect to stem of fauce
9. o be installed on cold water supply only Specifications P Maximum Minimum Operational Temp 113 F 45 C AO F 4 4 C Operational Pressure 100 psi Flow Rate 0 72 U S Gal min 60 psi CE Flow Diagram for POU Dual Stage Under the Counter Filtration System The system has been designed to fit under most kitchens sinks Please read the entire manual carefully before proceeding with installation REPLACEMENT PART Model VFK9 Pkg of 1 carbon block filter cartridge and one sediment filter cartridge Service Life 6 12 months NSEMEMLON Tapping into the Cold Water Line CAUTION The water supply to your unit MUST be from the COLD WATER LINE Hot water will severely damage you Point of Use POU Dual Stage Filtration System Step 1 Turn off the cold water supply by turning off the shut off valve under the sink If the cold water line does not have a shut off valve under the sink turn off the main water line in the house Step 2 Turn on the cold water faucet and allow all the water to drain from the line On a single handle faucet the hot water may have to be turned off to prevent any hot water cross over Step 3 Assemble the slip joint adapter as shown in FIG 1 Step 4 Loosen nut and separate cold water braided flex hose from the kitchen Adapter grey cold water faucet shank Attach the slip joint adapter assembly to the kitchen cold water faucet shank using the rubber gasket supplie
