LOCAL POINT The Art of Architecture MOULDING INSTALLATION General e Use only Focal Point DegaBond 948 Adhesive 33333 Please Read And Follow All e Focal Point mouldings have the same density and workability as white pine ira Instructions e Mouldings that have been stored in hot conditions should be allowed to cool arefully down to normal temperatures before installation e Focal Point mouldings are factory primed 1 Cutting e Mark projection and depth on walls and ceilings These dimensions can be found in the chart on the back of this sheet e Cut 45 compound miters for inside and outside corners do not cope inside corners Apply DegaBond 948 Adhesive 33333 and fasten with trim screws or finish nails e Cut butt joints for all straight joints apply DegaBond 948 Adhesive to both edges do_not use scarf or lap joints e For large profiles 8 face or larger apply 1 4 bead of DegaBond 948 33333 to the top and bottom bedding edges on the back side of moulding see Figure 1 or apply DegaBond 948 33333 to inside wall and ceiling marks e Cut mouldings 1 4 longer and spring into place If necessary screw a wooden block to the wall and spring moulding against the block Screw or nail moulding into place then remove the block see Figure 2 e Screw or nail moulding every 16 Figure 2 e Remove excess wet adhesive with mineral spirits 2 Finishing e Caulk mouldings to wall and ceiling usi2. ng a paintable latex caulk iinportantintormation e Fill screw or nail holes with vinyl spackle e Cover joints with vinyl spackle and lightly sand with fine grit paper Use Only DegaBond 948 Adhesive e If factory primer is sanded off apply vinyl spackle to area lightly sand and prime Call your local dealer e Use a high quality latex or oil based paint with any quesitons e Do NOT use lacquer paints See Moulding Cut Guide for proper table and blade cut angles 12 Arentzen Blvd Charleroi PA 15022 e 800 662 5550 www focalpointproducts com
