1. CYCLE NORMAL Fermez l interrupteur principal Le br leur devrait se mettre en marche et fonctionner normalement Si le br leur d marre et allume la flamme puis engage le blocage de s curit proc dez imm diatement la V rification du d tecteur de flamme D LAI DE S CURIT Laissez le br leur fonctionner pendant environ 5 minutes D branchez ensuite un des fils du d tecteur de flamme qui sont raccord s aux bornes F Une fois que le d lai de s curit s est coul la commande devrait engager le blocage de s curit et arr ter le br leur Ouvrez l interrupteur principal Rebranchez le fil du d tecteur de flamme que vous avez d branch l tape 1 Attendez environ 3 minutes puis appuyez sur le bouton de remise en route manuel qui est situ sur le dessus de la commande V RIFICATION DU LIMITEUR MAXIMUM ET DU THERMOSTAT Fermez l interrupteur principal afin de mettre le br leur en marche R glez le limiteur au point de consigne le plus bas possible Le br leur devrait s arr ter sauf si la temp rature de l appareil de chauffage est inf rieure au point de consigne minimum du limiteur R glez maintenantle limiteur au point de consigne normal Le br leur devrait se remettre en marche Alors que le br leur est en marche r glez le thermostat au point de consigne le plus bas possible Le br leur devrait s arr ter sauf si la temp rature ambiante est inf rieure au point de c2. rifiez son alignement travers le trou du disque de pression statique Si ce trou est obstru nettoyez le Assurez vous que les fils branch s sur le bornes F sont en bon tat e Si le d tecteur est bien align et la r sistance est toujours lev e il peut tre n cessaire de r gler la flamme du br leur ou de remplacer la buse conform ment aux directives du fabricant du br leur AVERTISSEMENT Une fois cetessai termin v rifiez que vous avez retir le cavalier Si l indicateur de l ohmmetre est stable une lecture allant jusqu 2000 ohms devrait tre acceptable R gle g n rale cependant une faible r sistance entraine une meilleure installation et diminue le risque qu une variation de la flamme du br leur engage le blocage de s curit

TYPE 668 Intermittent Ignition Non Recycling WHITE RODGERS OIL BURNER CONTROL With Series 956 Flame Detector INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Operator Save these instructions for future use FAILURE TO READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING OR OPERATING THIS CONTROL COULD CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY AND OR PROPERTY DAMAGE The type 668 Oil Burner Control provides safe operation of oil burners on heating plants where ignition during the entire burner cycle is desired The 668 is used with the 956 Flame Detector Formerly called constant ignition If in doubt about whether your wiring is millivolt line or low voltage have it inspected by a qualified heating and air conditioning contractor electrician or someone famil iar with basic electricity and wiring Do not exceed the specification ratings All wiring must conform to local and national electrical codes and ordinances This control is a precision instrument and should be handled carefully Rough handling or distorting compo nents could cause the control to malfunction Electrical Data Input voltage 668 120V AC 60Hz 668H 220V AC 50 60Hz Maximum Load Current Oil Burner Motor Orange Wire 10 Amps F L 60 Amps L R Ignition Transformer 860VA 3 0 Amps Relay Voltage 668 24 Volts AC 60Hz 668H 24 Volts AC 50 60Hz The proper Location and Mounting of the primary oil burner control panel on the burner and the flame detector with r

Y TIMING Let the burner run for about 5 minutes Then remove quired if the control performs as described in test A If the burner starts but the control locks out stopping the burner check the flame detector as follows 1 2 3 Open the line switch Connect one end of a wire jumper to one of the F terminals Start the burner by closing the line switch As soon as the flame has been established connect the other end of the wire jumper to the other F terminal A WARNING The control provides no safety protection with this jumper installed Do NOT leave burner in this condition except for making this check one of Flame Detector leads from the F terminals After a time period corresponding to the safety timing has elapsed the control should lock out on safety stopping the burner Open the line switch Replace Flame Detector lead removed in step 1 Wait about 3 minutes Then operate the manual reset button on top of control HIGH LIMIT AND THERMOSTAT CHECK Close the line switch to start the burner Lower the setting of the high limit control to its lowest setting This should stop the burner unless furnace or boiler temperature is below the minimum setting of the high limit Return high limit control to its proper setting Burner should restart With the burner running turn thermostat to its lowest setting This should stop the burner unless actual room temperature is below the lowes
