Knob out e The washer will fill to selected level agitate 2 minutes drain and spin permanent press knits gentle pull start push stop For a drain and spin Your washer can be setto drain and spin out water e Push Control Knob in e Turn clockwise to the bar just before OFF See above drawing e Pull Control Knob out The washer will drain and spin For agitation and spin speeds in each cycle see pages 8 and 9 For a soak or pre wash For best results use warm water for soaking or pre washing stained laundry Hot water can set stains e Use recommended amount of detergent or pre soak product e Push Control Knob in e Turn clockwise to point at a number in the SCAK Cycle Pull Control Knob out to start washer e When the cycle is over add de tergent for the next selected wash cycle The SOAK Cycle should always be followed by a Wash cycle important See additional care information on page 7 of your Laundry Guide To start soak with agitation the Cycle Control Knob must point to a number in the SOAK Cycle Cleaning the lint filter Water runs through the lint filter whenever the washer agitates Check it often to make sure it s clean andis filtering at its best To remove it for cleaning press the release and pull straight out Instruc tions foi cleaning are printed on the bottom ofthe filter Starting your dryer Before starting your dryer be sure laundry is so
4. assistance Performance problems often re sult from little things you can find and fix yourself without tools of any kind IF YOUR WASHER DOES NOT FILL e Is the power supply cord plugged in Are both waterfaucets open e Are fuses blownorcircuit breaker tripped Are the water supply hoses kinked Is the Cycle Control Knob set and pulled out IF YOUR WASHER DOES NOT SPIN Is the lid closed 15 the power supply cord plugged in e Are fuses blown or a circuit breaker tripped IF WASHER DRAINS AT THE WRONG TIME e The drain hose should be atleast 28 inches above the floor and secured e The drain hose should not fit tightly in the drain pipe MAKE SURE THE DRAIN HOSE IS HIGHER THAN THE WATER LEVEL IN THE WASHER IF IT ISN T e The washer may seem to be draining during wash and rinse cycles Water can siphon out See In stallation Instructions IF YOUR WASHER STOPS DURING THE PERMANENT PRESS CYCLE Remember the washer will stop for about 1 minutes after the partial drain during the cool down period in this cycle DRYER DOESN T RUN OR DOESN T HEAT Is it plugged in Is the circuit breaker tripped or one or both of the fuses blown Did you push START is the door closed The AIR setting is without heat The last minutes of heat settings are without neat See page 12 DRYING TIME SEEMS LONG e Is the lint screen clean e Is the room

ARNING Drying these and other heat sensitive m i materials vvith heat can damage them or be a FIRE HAZARD am pt ADE SE t MEI e PED ost n SD TINS i Be 5 cb ter mma Drying tips AIR Setting The dryer does not heat when the Control Knob is set on AIR This setting can be used to fluff bedding plastic tablecloths foam rubber pillows stuffed toys sneakers etc VVARNING Drying plas tic or rubber items with heat may damage the items or be a FIRE HAZARD TUMBLE PRESS Setting The TUMBLE PRESS setting removes wrinkles from dry clothing such as items that may have been packed in a suitcase closet or items not removed from the dryer The load will tumble in heated air for 5 minutes The heat shuts off and the dryer continues totumble the load for10 more minutes For best results TUMBLE PRESS only a few items at a time Put them on hangers or fold them as soon as the dryer stops 14 Mixed loads When drying a load with different kinds and weights of fabrics use the cycle suggested for the lightest fabrics When the dryer stops remove dry items and reset the control To help reduce wrinkling take the load from the dryer as soon as tumbling stops This is very important for permanent press knits and other synthetic fabrics Drying times Drying times will vary depending on amount of moisture in the clot

12. hes e type and weight of the fabric e size of the load room temperature around the dryer e temperature of the wash rinse water e amount of lint inthe lint screen e dryertemperature selection See page 19 in your Laundry Guide for more information Lint screen Clean the lint screen before each load A screen blocked by lint can increase drying time and may be a FIRE HAZARD The lint screen is 2 Lightly inside the dryer squeeze the drum onthe straight body as back wall out shown while 1 Use the finger pulling the holes to pull cover off ihe lint screen 3 Roll lint off the straight out screen with I your fingers Squeeze body WARNING DO NOT run the DO NOT rinse pull cover off dryer with the lint screen or wash the loose damaged or missing screen Wet lint is hard to remove Doing so can cause over 4 Replace the cover on the body of heating can damage fabrics and the lint screen can be a FIRE HAZARD 5 Push the lint screen straight back in until it clicks into place Lint removal Lint can gather inside the dryer and create a fire hazard This lint should be removed every 2 to 3 years or more often depending on dryer usage Cleaning should be done only by a qualified service person 1 Remove back panel from dryer 2 Avoid touching thermostats wires terminals and heater box 3 Remove lint from shaded area see art with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner 4 Replace b
