If you have questions after Water Bottle Holder reading this manual see the front cover of this manual To help us assist you please note the product model number and serial number before calling The model number of the treadmill is WCTL2932 2 The serial number can be found on a decal attached to the tread mill see the front cover of this manual for the location Before reading further please review the drawing below and familiarize yourself with the labeled parts Console Bottle not included Handrail Storage Latch Walking Belt Foot Rail Rear Roller Adjustment Bolts Key Clip Upright RIGHT SIDE Reset Off Circuit Breaker Power Cord Cushioned Walking Platform for maximum exercise comfort Incline Leg ASSEMBLY Assembly requires two persons Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials do not dis pose of the packing materials until assembly is completed Note The underside of the treadmill walking belt is coated with high performance lubricant During shipping a small amount of lubricant may be transferred to the top of the walking belt or the shipping carton This is a normal condition and does not affect treadmill performance If there is lubricant on top of the walking belt simply wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild non abrasive cleaner Assembly requires the included small allen wrench and you

BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high performance lubricant IMPORTANT Never apply sil icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear HOW TO PLUG IN THE POWER CORD A DANGER Improper connection of the equipment grounding conductor can result in an increased risk of electric shock Check with a qualified electrician or service man if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded Do not modify the plug provided with the product f it will not fit the outlet have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician Your treadmill like any other type of sophisticated electronic equipment can be seriously damaged by sudden voltage changes in your home s power Voltage surges spikes and noise interference can result from weather conditions or from other appliances being turned on or off To decrease the possibility of your treadmill being damaged always use a surge suppressor with your treadmill see drawing 1 at the right To purchase a surge suppressor see your local WESLO dealer or call the toll free tele phone number on the front cover of this manual and order part number 146148 or see your local electronics store Use only a single outlet surge suppressor that is UL 1449 listed as a transient voltage surge sup pressor TVSS The surge suppressor must have a UL suppre

Switch slightly Retighten the Screw Re attach the hood and run the treadmill for a few minutes to check for a correct speed reading 12 PROBLEM The walking belt slows when walked on SOLUTION a Use only a single outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 8 b If the walking belt is overtightened treadmill perfor mance may decrease and the walking belt may be come damaged Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Using the allen wrench turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise 1 4 of a turn When the walking belt is properly tightened you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3 7 cm 2 3 in off the walking platform Be careful to keep the walking belt centered Plug in the power cord insert the key and run the treadmill for a few Rear Roller Adjustment Bolts minutes Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened c If the walking belt still slows when walked on see the front cover of this manual PROBLEM The walking belt is off center or slips when walked on SOLUTION a If the walking belt is off center first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD If the walking belt has shifted to the left use the allen wrench to turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1 2 of a turn if the walking belt has shifted to the right turn the bolt counterclockwise 1 2 of a turn Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt Plug in the power cord insert th
6. see page 8 Use only a single outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 8 Important The treadmill is not compatible with GFCl equipped outlets After the power cord has been plugged in make sure that the key is fully inserted into the console c treadmill frame near the power cord If the switch protrudes as shown the circuit breaker has tripped To reset the circuit breaker wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in Tripped The power turns off during use a C d Check the reset off circuit breaker see the drawing above If the circuit breaker has tripped wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in Make sure that the power cord is plugged in If the power cord is plugged in unplug it wait for five minutes and then plug it back in Remove the key from the console Reinsert the key fully into the console If the treadmill still will not run see the front cover of this manual The displays of the console do not function properly a Remove the key from the console and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Remove the screws from the hood and carefully remove the hood Locate the Reed Switch 44 and the Magnet 45 on the left side of the Pulley 50 Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch Make sure eee that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1 8 If necessary loosen the Screw 25 and move the Reed
7. ties on the bottom of the Console Base to prevent the Wire Harness from slipping Cut off the ends of the plastic ties Attach the Console Base 46 to the Handrails 1 with four 3 4 Screws 13 do not overtighten the Screws 7 Attach the Console 10 to the Console Base 46 with seven 3 4 Screws 13 Make sure that no wires are pinched Start all seven Screws before tightening them do not overtighten the Screws Note Make sure the in dicated 3 4 Screw is not overtightened Overtightening the Screw may cause the Console to not function properly 8 Attach the Storage Latch 14 to the left Upright 76 with two 3 4 Screws 13 Be careful not to overtighten the Screws See step 3 Tighten the two 2 1 2 Bolts 53 See step 4 Tighten the two lower 1 Bolts 8 indicated by the large arrows and then tighten the upper 1 Bolts 8 9 Carefully lower the Handrails 1 to the floor Make sure that the Frame 75 is centered between the Handrails Firmly tighten the four 2 1 2 Bolts 53 Raise the Uprights to the vertical position 10 Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill Note Extra hardware may be included Keep the included allen wrenches in a secure place The large allen wrench is used to adjust the walking belt see page 13 To protect the floor or carpet place a mat under the treadmill OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE LUBRICATED WALKING
8. alking belt when turn ing on the power e Always wear the clip see the drawing below while operating the treadmill Insert the key fully into the console After a moment the displays will light Test the clip by carefully tak e Adjust the speed in small increments to ing a few steps backward until the key is pulled avoid sudden jumps in speed e To reduce the possibility of electric shock keep the console dry Avoid spilling liquids on the console and place only a sealed water bottle in the water bottle holder from the console If the key is not pulled from the console adjust the position of the clip Note To prevent damage to the walking platform always wear clean shoes when using the treadmill Follow the steps below to operate the console STEP BY STEP CONSOLE OPERATION 1 Insert the key fully into the console Before operating the console make sure that the i A few seconds after the key is inserted the dis power cord is properly plugged in see page 8 plays will light Locate the reset off circuit Press the Speed button to start the walking breaker near the power cord Matar Gg belt Make sure that the circuit Reset breaker is in the on position A moment after the button is pressed the walking belt will begin to move Hold the handrails and begin walking As you exercise change the speed of the walking belt as desired by pressing the Speed buttons Each time a button
9. bove Remember to stand still while measuring your heart rate When you are finished exercising remove the key Step onto the foot rails press the Stop button and remove the key from the console Keep the key in a secure place HOW TO FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Before folding the treadmill unplug the power cord CAUTION You must be able to safely lift 20 kg 45 Ibs in order to raise lower or move the treadmill 1 Hold the treadmill with your hands in the locations shown at the right To decrease the possibility of injury bend your legs and keep your back straight As you raise the tread mill make sure to lift with your legs rather than your back Raise the treadmill about halfway to the vertical posi tion 2 Move your right hand to the position shown and hold the treadmill firmly Press out on the storage latch Raise the treadmill until the storage latch closes over the catch Make sure that the storage latch is fully engaged over the catch To protect the floor or carpet from damage place a mat a under the treadmill Keep the treadmill out of Storage direct sunlight Do not leave the treadmill in the storage Ve Latch position in temperatures above 30 C 85 F Engaged HOW TO MOVE THE TREADMILL Before moving the treadmill convert the treadmill to the storage position as described above Make sure that the storage latch is fully engaged over the cat
10. ch 1 Hold the upper ends of the handrails Place one foot on the base as shown 2 Tilt the treadmill back until it rolls freely on the front wheels Carefully move the treadmill to the desired location To re duce the risk of injury use extreme caution while mov ing the treadmill Do not move the treadmill over an un even surface 3 Place one foot on the base and carefully lower the treadmill until it is resting in the storage position Front Wheels HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 See drawing 2 above Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand as shown Press the storage latch and hold it Pivot the frame and foot rail down until they are past the storage latch 2 See drawing 1 above Hold the treadmill firmly with both hands and lower the treadmill to the floor Do not drop the treadmill frame to the floor To decrease the possibility of injury bend your legs and keep your back straight 11 TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below Find the symptom that applies and follow the steps listed If further assistance is needed see the front cover of this manual PROBLEM The power does not turn on SOLUTION PROBLEM SOLUTION PROBLEM SOLUTION a Check the reset off circuit breaker located on the Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet
11. e key and run the treadmill for a few minutes Repeat until the walking belt is centered b If the walking belt slips when walked on first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Using the allen wrench turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1 4 of a turn When the walking belt is correctly tight ened you should be able to lift each side of the walk ing belt 3 7 cm 2 3 in off the walking platform Be careful to keep the walking belt centered Plug in the power cord insert the key and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened 13 CONDITIONING GUIDELINES AWARNING Before beginning this or any exercise program consult your physi cian This is especially important for individu als over the age of 35 or individuals with pre existing health problems The pulse sensor is not a medical device Various factors including your movement may affect the accuracy of heart rate readings The sensor is intended only as an exercise aid in determining heart rate trends in general The following guidelines will help you to plan your ex ercise program For more detailed exercise informa tion obtain a reputable book or consult your physician EXERCISE INTENSITY Whether your goal is to burn fat or to strengthen your cardiovascular system the key to achieving the desired results is to exercise with the proper intensity The proper intensity level can be found by usi

16. ng your heart rate as a guide The chart below shows recom mended heart rates for fat burning and aerobic exercise 130 125 115 118 110 103 105 95 90 60 70 80 To find the proper heart rate for you first find your age near the bottom of the chart ages are rounded off to the nearest ten years Next find the three numbers above your age The three numbers define your train ing zone The lower two numbers are recommended heart rates for fat burning the higher number is the recommended heart rate for aerobic exercise To measure your heart rate during exercise use the pulse sensor Fat Burning To burn fat effectively you must exercise at a relatively low intensity level for a sustained period of time During the first few minutes of exercise your body uses easily accessible carbohydrate calories for en ergy Only after the first few minutes does your body begin to use stored a7 ca ories for energy If your goal is to burn fat adjust the speed and incline of the tread mill until your heart rate is near the lowest number in your training zone For maximum fat burning adjust the speed and incline of the treadmill until your heart rate is near the middle number in your training zone Aerobic Exercise If your goal is to strengthen your cardiovascular sys tem your exercise must be aerobic Aerobic exercise is activity that requires large amounts of oxygen for prolonged periods of time This inc
17. ock Bracket 47 see drawing 2b Slide the Right Upright down until it reaches the Base 11 Make 62 sure that the Wire Harness 21 is not pinched Slot Handtighten two 2 1 2 Bolts 53 and two Star Washers Round Hole 9 into the Base and Right Upright With the help of a second person tip the treadmill onto its other side Attach the Left Upright 76 as described above Note There is not a wire harness on the left side Attach the other Wheel not shown to the Base 11 as described in step 1 3 With the help of a second person tip the treadmill so the Base Pads 40 see drawing 1 are laying flat on the floor Raise the Uprights 62 76 to the vertical position Hold the Crossbar 34 between the Uprights 62 76 Attach the Crossbar with two 2 1 2 Bolts 53 and two 5 16 Washers 57 Do not tighten the Bolts yet 4 Feed the Wire Harness 21 up into the rectangular bracket on one of the Handrails 1 and out of the large hole in the left side Note It may be helpful to use E Ground needlenose pliers to pull the Wire Harness out of the to Wire 21 large hole x Remove any plastic ties from the rectangular bracket on the Handrail 1 Insert the bracket into the upper end of the Right Upright 62 Tighten two 1 Bolts 8 2 to 3 turns into the ends of the Handrail and into the Right Upright Do not tighten the Bolts yet Bracket Attach the other Handrail 1 as described above Note There is not a

20. r own phillips screwdriver E3 rubber mallet wire cutters gt gt adjustable wrenches and needlenose pliers Se For help identifying the assembly hardware refer to the PART IDENTIFICATION CHART in the center of this manual Note The assembly hardware and other small parts are packaged in separate part bags Do not open the part bags until instructed to do so 1 Make sure that the power cord is unplugged Hazardous Voltage Risk of Electric Shock Unplug Treadmill before Assembly Disassembly With the help of a second person carefully tip the tread mill onto its left side as shown Partially fold the Frame 75 so the treadmill is more stable Do not fully fold the treadmill until it is completely assembled Open part bag A Attach four Base Pads 40 to the Base 11 with two 1 1 4 Tek Screws 87 and two 3 4 Tek Screws 25 Attach a Wheel 37 to the right side of the Base with a Wheel Bolt 86 and a Wheel Nut 38 2 See drawing 2a Make sure that there are two U nuts 97 in the lower end of each Upright 62 76 Identify the Right Upright 62 which has a large round hole and a slot near the lower end While a second per a son holds the Right Upright near the Wire Harness 21 62 insert the end of the Wire Harness into the round hole and out of the upper end of the Right Upright FIAS Open part bag B Slide the slot in the Right Upright 62 onto the Upright L
21. reases the demand on the heart to pump blood to the muscles and on the lungs to oxygenate the blood For aerobic exercise adjust the speed and incline of the treadmill until your heart rate is near the highest number in your training zone WORKOUT GUIDELINES Each workout should include the following three parts A Warm up Start each workout with 5 to 10 minutes of stretching and light exercise A proper warm up in creases your body temperature heart rate and circula tion in preparation for exercise Training Zone Exercise After warming up increase the intensity of your exercise until your pulse is in your training zone for 20 to 60 minutes During the first few weeks of your exercise program do not keep your pulse in your training zone for longer than 20 minutes Breathe regularly and deeply as you exercise never hold your breath A Cool down Finish each workout with 5 to 10 min utes of stretching to cool down This will increase the flexibility of your muscles and will help prevent post exercise problems EXERCISE FREQUENCY To maintain or improve your condition complete three workouts each week with at least one day of rest be tween workouts After a few months you may com plete up to five workouts each week if desired The key to success is to make exercise a regular and enjoyable part of your everyday life 14 SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right Mo
