Instructions 2 Release the throttle trigger and let the engine idle If the engine stops insert a small Phillips screwdriver into the idle adjustment screw Fig 24 Turn the idle speed screw clockwise 1 8 of a turn at a time as needed until the engine idles smoothly 3 Ifthe engine appears to be idling too fast turn the idle speed screw counterclockwise 1 8 of a turn at a time as needed to reduce idle speed Checking the fuel mixture cleaning the air filter and adjusting the idle speed should solve most engine problems If not and all of the following are true e the engine will not idle e the engine hesitates or stalls on acceleration Idle Adjustment Screw WARNING The cutting attachment will spin during idle speed adjustments Wear protective clothing and observe all safety instructions to prevent serious personal injury e there is a loss of engine power Have the carburetor adjusted by an authorized service dealer REPLACING THE SPARK PLUG Use replacement 753 06193 a Champion RDJ7J spark plug or equivalent The correct air gap is 0 025 inch 0 635 mm Remove the plug after every 25 hours of operation and check its condition 1 Stop the engine and allow it to cool Grasp the plug wire firmly and pull it from the spark plug 2 Clean around the spark plug Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head by turning a 5 8 inch socket counterclockwise WARNING Do not sand blast scrape or clean electrodes G

12. in the fuel can make fuel and oil separate It forms acids when stored When using alcohol blended fuel use fresh fuel less than 30 days old USING BLENDED FUELS If choosing to use a blended fuel or its use is unavoidable follow recommended precautions e Always use the fresh fuel mix explained in the operator s manual e Use the fuel additive STA BIL or an equivalent OIL AND FUEL INFORMATION e Always agitate the fuel mix before fueling the unit e Drain the tank and run the engine dry before storing the unit USING FUEL ADDITIVES CAUTION For proper engine operation and maximum reliability pay strict attention to the oil and fuel mixing instructions UNLEADED GAS _2 CYCLE OIL 1 GALLON US 3 2 FL OZ 3 8 LITERS 95 ml The bottle of 2 cycle oil contains a fuel additive which will help inhibit corrosion and 1 LITER 23m minimize the formation of gum deposits It is recommended to use our 2 cycle oil with this unit MIXING RATIO 40 1 If unavailable use a good 2 cycle oil designed for air cooled engines along with a fuel additive such as STA BIL Gas Stabilizer or an equivalent Add 0 8 oz 23 ml of fuel additive per gallon of fuel according to the instructions on the container NEVER add fuel additives directly to the unit s fuel tank Thoroughly mix the proper ratio of 2 cycle engine oil with unleaded fuel in a separate fuel can Use a 40 1 fuel oil ratio Do not mix them directly in the engine fuel tank See the tabl

17. palanca del control del regulador Apriete y mantenga apretado el bot n de ENCENDIDO I del arrancador el ctrico o taladro durante 2 segundos 7 Coloque la palanca del obturador en la Posici n 2 Fig 8 8 Oprima la palanca del control del regulador apriete y mantenga apretado el bot n de ENCENDIDO I del arrancador el ctrico o taladro durante 2 segundos hasta que la unidad arranque 9 Mantenga apretado el control del regulador desmonte el arrancador el ctrico o taladro de la unidad y deje que el motor se caliente durante 30 a 60 segundos 10 Mantenga apretado el control del regulador ponga la palanca del obturador en la Posici n 3 Fig 8 y haga funcionar la unidad durante 60 segundos m s La unidad se puede usar durante este paso NOTA La unidad se ha calentado debidamente cuando el motor acelera sin fallar SI el motor funciona con fallas vuelva a colocar la palanca del obturador en la Posici n 2 Fig 8 y contin e calentando el motor SI el motor no arranca regrese al paso 3 SI el motor no arranca despu s de unos cuantos intentos coloque la palanca del obturador en la Posici n 3 y oprima el gatillo Apriete y mantenga apretado el bot n de ENCENDIDO I del arrancador el ctrico o taladro a intervalos de 2 segundos hasta que la unidad arranque SI EST CALIENTE Si el motor ya est caliente arranque la unidad con la palanca azul del obturador en la Posici n 2 Despu s que la unidad arranque
