Z 2 all BUENO MAL Figura 7 2 Si se repite el problema de los fusibles quemados haga que su distribuidor de Troy Biltel revise el sistema el ctrico del tractor Rel s e interruptores Hay varios interruptores de seguridad en el sistema el ctrico Si una funci n del sistema de bloqueo de seguridad descripto antes no funciona adecuadamente haga que el distribuidor de Troy Bilt revise el sistema el ctrico Retiro de la plataforma Retire la plataforma de la cortadora de c sped del tractor de la siguiente forma 1 Desplace el tractor a una superficie nivelada desen ganche la potencia de arranque PTO detenga el motor y coloque el freno de mano 2 Mueva las ruedas de calibraci n de la plataforma o los rodillos a su ajuste m s alto ajuste m s bajo de la plata forma 3 Retire la correa en V dela polea de la potencia de ar ranque PTO ubicada en la base del motor usando uno de los dos m todos siguientes iADVERTENCIA El silenciador en la parte trasera del tractor puede estar sumamente caliente y podr a causar quemaduras graves Tenga mucho cuidado cuando se encuentre cerca del silenciador Deje que el silenciador se enfr e totalmente antes de retirar la correa de la polea de la potencia de arranque PTO Para aflojar la tensi n de la correa con la polea loca Usando la manija de elevaci n de la plataforma levant

4. mueva las palancas de control totalmente hacia afuera en posici n neutral enganche el freno de mano detenga el motor y extraiga la llave para evitar el encendido accidental Motor Consulte las instrucciones especificaciones y procedimientos para todos los intervalos de mantenimiento del motor en el Manual del Propietario Operador Kohler Cambio de aceite del motor iADVERTENCIA Si el motor se ha puesto en funcionamiento recientemente el motor silenciador y las superficies met licas circundantes estar n calientes y pueden causar quemaduras a la piel Tenga precauci n para evitar quemaduras Para completar el cambio de aceite proceda de la siguiente manera 1 Haga funcionar el motor por un per odo corto para calentar el aceite del motor El aceite fluir mejor y limpiar las impurezas Sea cuidadoso para evitar quemaduras con el aceite caliente 2 Ubique el orificio de drenaje de aceite del lado derecho del motor 3 Abraeltap n protector en el extremo de la v lvula de drenaje de aceite para dejar expuesto el orificio de drenaje Consulte la Figura 6 1 Retire el tap n de llenado de aceite la varilla de nivel de aceite del tubo de llenado 4 Inserte la manguera de drenaje de aceite embalada con este manual dentro del orificio de drenaje de aceite Coloque el extremo opuesto de la manguera en un dep sito de recolecci n de aceite que posea una capacidad de por lo menos 2 5 cuartos de gal n 2 4 litros

Always remove the key from the ignition switch to prevent accidental starting or battery discharge if the equipment is left unattended Practice Operation Initial Use Operating a zero turn tractor is not like operating a conventional type riding tractor Although and because a zero turn tractor is more maneuverable getting used to operating the control levers takes some practice We strongly recommend that you locate a reasonably large level and open practice area where there are no obstructions pedestrians or animals You should practice operating the tractor for a minimum of 30 minutes Carefully move or have moved the tractor to the practice area When performing the practice session the PTO should not be engaged While practicing operate the tractor at approximately 1 2 3 4 throttle and at less than full speed in both forward and reverse Carefully practice maneuvering the tractor using the instructions in the following section Driving the Tractor Practice until you are confident that you can safely operate the tractor Driving the Tractor WARNING Avoid sudden starts excessive speed and sudden stops Adjust the operator s seat to the most comfortable position that allows you to operate the controls See seat adjustment in the ADJUSTMENTS section Release the parking brake Move the RH and LH drive control levers inward in the neutral position Refer to Figure 5 2 NOTE f the control levers are n

Hex Tapp Screw Trim Strip Figure 7 1 Remove the hex cap screw and sems nut securing the black negative battery lead to the negative battery post marked NEG Move the cable away from the negative battery post Remove the hex cap screw and sems nut securing the red positive battery lead to the positive battery post marked POS Carefully lift the battery out of the tractor Install the battery by repeating the above steps in the reverse order WARNING Always connect the positive lead to the battery before connecting the negative lead This will prevent sparking or possible injury from an electrical short caused by contacting the tractor body with tools being used to connect the cables Charging the Battery Test and if necessary recharge the battery after the tractor has been stored for a period of time A voltmeter or load tester should read 12 6 volts DC or higher across the battery terminals Charge the battery with a 12 volt battery charger at a MAXIMUM rate of 10 amps State of Charge Charging Time Reading Servicing Electrical System A fuse is installed to protect the tractor s electrical system from damage caused by excessive amperage Always use the same capacity fuse for replacement If the electrical system does not function check for a blown fuse See Figure 7 2 2 AJA J GOOD BAD Figure 7 2 If you have a recurring problem

Battery Cil Pressure Indicator Indicator Hour Meter PTO Parking Brake Engaged Engaged Indicator Indicator Figure 4 4 Hour Meter Features The hour meter records the hours that the tractor has been operated in the digital display tenths of an hour right most digit NOTE The hour meter is activated whenever the ignition switch is turned to the ON position Record actual hours of operation to assure all maintenance is completed according to the instructions in this manual and the engine manual When key is turned to the ON position the battery indicator light briefly illuminates and the battery voltage is briefly displayed The display then changes to the accumulated hours SEcTION 4 CONTROLS AND FEATURES 11 The Indicator Monitor will also remind the operator of maintenance intervals for changing the engine oil The LCD will alternately flash CHG OIL and the recorded hours for five minutes after every 50 hours of recorded operation The maintenance interval lasts for two hours from 50 52 100 102 150 152 etc The LCD will flash as described for five minutes every time the tractor s engine is started during this maintenance interval Follow the oil change intervals provided in the engine manual Indicator Panel Features Battery Indicator Refer to Figure 4 4 Illuminates and the battery voltage is displayed briefly when the ignition switch it turned to the ON position Illuminates to indicate t

132. ons Changing the Engine Oil WARNING If the engine has been recently run the engine muffler and surrounding metal surfaces will be hot and can cause burns to the skin Exercise caution to avoid burns To complete an oil change proceed as follows 1 Run the engine for a short time to warm the engine oil The oil will flow more freely and carry away more impurities Use care to avoid burns from hot oil 2 Locate the oil drain port on the right side of the engine 3 Popopen the protective cap on the end of the oil drain valve to expose the drain port Refer to Figure 6 1 Remove the oil fill cap dipstick from the oil fill tube 4 Push the oil drain hose packed with this manual onto the oil drain port Route the opposite end of the hose into an appropriate oil collection container with at least a 2 0 quart capacity to collect the used oil 5 Pinch the tabs on the oil drain valve then pull outward to begin draining oil See Fig 6 1 Dipstick Cil Fill Cap Oil Fill Tube Cil Filter Figure 6 1 6 6 After the oil has finished draining push the end of the oil drain valve back in until the tabs click into place Re cap the end of the oil drain valve to keep debris from entering the drain port 7 Replace the oil filter and refill the engine with new oil as instructed in the Kohler Owner s Manual Air Cleaner Service the pre cleaner and cartridge air cleaner element as instruct
