11. each disc will be computed for the total programmed time After the addition has been completed the program time will be displayed for 3 seconds When other programs are added and the TIME button is pressed the program time of the added program only will be computed On the other hand if even one step is cleared it will compute from the beginning If selections numbered 21 or higher is programmed the indication will appear instead of numbers To stop program play Press W The last selection number programmed is displayed To resume play press I or on the remote commander Play begins from the beginning of the program You can play the same program repeatedly as long as you do not cancel program play or erase the program To cancel program play Press CONTINUE and return to the continuous playing mode The program will be erased 13 Tips on Editing Tapes The following functions are convenient for editing your own tapes Fading out after a desired duration Time Fade You can have the play fade out at the end by designating the play duration To set time fade 1 Press TIME FADE during stop and pause FADE is displayed and blinks in the window 2 Set the desired play duration using the Kd lt lt 4 bP PP i buttons Each time you press lt 4 lt gt PPI the display changes to give you the following duration press Kid lt q press D gt PPI on min ses 2

13. ocating a point in sequence Manual Search You can locate a particular point in a selection during play by monitoring the high speed sound To go back at high speed Keep Iq lt 4 pressed To go ahead at high speed Keep gt PPI pressed Release the button when you reach the point in the selection you want Note for CDP C305 only You can operate this function on the remote commander Keep lt lt 4 PP pressed To locate at a higher speed Press kad lt lt or gt gt PPI in the pause mode Search speed will increase three times but there will be no sound Find the desired point by watching the numbers in the display Playing in a Random Order Shuffle Play Decide whether to shuffle between all discs or 2 one depending on the number of discs inserted To shuffle ALL DISCS press once To shuffle 1 DISC press twice SHUFFLE A 10 You can have the selections up to 99 played in a random order The unit will play all the discs or just one disc you desire Once a selection is played it will not be played again until the random order is completed To stop playing Press W To cancel shuffle play Press CONTINUE and return to the continuous playing mode To change from program or continuous play to shuffle play Press SHUFFLE during program or continuous play The program mode will be cleared and shuffle play will begin from the current selection being played
