2. 94 Other Print Operations J Press Hold Print Job List A list of a Hold Print files stored in the machine appears Depending on the security settings certain print jobs may not be displayed 4 Select the file you want to delete and then press Delete The delete confirmation screen appears 5 Press Yes to delete the file The selected file is deleted If you do not want to delete the file press No Stored Print Jobs are not deleted after they are printed so the same job need not be resent in order to print multiple copies JkImportant A Stored Print file cannot be stored if e the total number of Sample Print Locked Print Hold Print and Stored Print files in the machine is over 100 The maximum number varies de pending on the volume of data in files e the file contains over 1 000 pages e sent or stored files in the machine contain over 2 000 pages in total P Note O If a Stored Print file has not been stored properly check the error log on the display panel O Even after you turn off the machine stored documents remain However the Auto Delete Temporary Print Jobs or Auto Delete Stored Print Jobs settings are applied first see Printer Features General Settings Guide O If the application has a collate option make sure it is not selected before send ing a print job By default Stored Print jobs are automatically collated by the printer driver If a collate option is select

Press to cancel the current print job If you press it when the machine is offline and Hex Dump is selected Hex Dump is canceled 5 Print Jobs Press to display print jobs sent from a computer Y Note 6 Error Log Press to display the error logs of print jobs that sent from a computer 7 Spooling Job List Press to display spooled jobs 8 Paper Tray Status indicators The paper tray settings appear O When the power is turned on the copier display is shown This is a factory default This initial setting can be changed See System Settings General Settings Guide Simplified Display This section explains how to switch to the simplified display When you press Simplified Display the screen changes from the initial display to the simplified display Letters and keys are displayed at a larger size making operations easier ANP042S Example of a simplified display fF KOnline I Paper Tray Status H Offline Job Reset 2 Note J To return to the initial display press Simplified Display again O Certain keys do not appear on the simplified display Job List Jobs printed using Copy Document Server or Printer mode are temporarily stored in the machine and then executed in order Using the Job List function allows you to manage these jobs For example you can cancel incorrect job set tings or print an urgent document P Note O You cannot use th

11. 25 26 Preparing the Machine 18 After the installation is completed select one of the options to restart the computer either now or later and then click Finish Restart the computer to complete installation P Note O Setting a user code allows a SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin user to dis play and check statistics about the number of sheets which each user prints For details see SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin Help O Auto Run may not work with certain operating system settings If this hap pens launch Setup exe on the CD ROM root directory O Under Windows 95 98 Me you cannot add an IP address partially sim ilar to the one already used For example if 192 168 0 2 is in use 192 168 0 2xx cannot be used Similarly if 192 168 0 20 is in use 192 168 0 2 cannot be used pe Reference A message appears if there is a newer version of the printer driver already installed If there is you cannot install the printer driver using Auto Run If you still want to install the printer driver use Add Printer See When a Message Appears during Installation of the Printer Driver Trouble Shooting Installing the PCL or RPCS Printer Driver IPP amp important O To install printer driver under Windows 2000 XP Professional Windows Server 2003 and Windows NT 4 0 you must have an account that has Man age Printers permission Log on as an Administrators or Power Users group member 1 Q

O If Auto Tray Select has been set as the paper feed tray for the body paper the paper will be delivered from a tray containing paper in L orientation Therefore when the cover paper has been set to D orientation the orienta tion of the output cover paper and body paper will be different O The same paper feed tray cannot be set for the main paper and slip sheets 123 Other Print Operations 124 4 Direct Printing from a Digital Camera PictBridge What is PictBridge You can connect a PictBridge compatible digital camera to this machine using a USB cable This allows you to print photographs taken using the digital camera directly by operating the digital camera AMT014S Before you can use this function the machine requires the following options e USB host interface board e Camera direct print card P Note O Check your digital camera is PictBridge compatible O Up to 999 images can be sent from the digital camera to the machine during one print transaction If an attempt is made to send more images an error message is sent to the camera and printing fails O Since printing conditions are specified on the digital camera specifiable pa rameters depend on the particular digital camera For details see your digital camera s manual O This function is compatible with USB 1 1 125 Direct Printing from a Digital Camera PictBridge PictBridge Printing Follow the procedure below to st

18. 3 Click Font Manager 2000 4 Follow the instructions on the screen Using Adobe PageMaker Version 6 0 6 5 or 7 0 Using Adobe PageMaker Version 6 0 6 5 or 7 0 Under Windows 95 98 Me 2000 XP Windows Server 2003 or Windows NT 4 0 with Adobe PageMaker you need to copy PPD files to the PageMaker folder PPD files have the ppd extension in the folder DRIV ERS PS WIN9X_ME Language DISK1 on the CD ROM The WIN9X_ME folder inside the PS folder is for Windows 95 98 Me Use the folder at this level that is appropriate for the operating system you are currently using The third folder Language may be substituted by an appropriate language name Copy the ppd file to the PageMaker folder e For PageMaker 6 0 default installation The directory is C PM6 RSRC PPD4 e For PageMaker 6 5 default installation The directory is C PM65 RSRC USENGLISH PPD4 The USENGLISH may vary depending on your language selection e For PageMaker 7 0 default installation The directory is C PM7 RSRC USENGLISH PPD4 The USENGLISH may vary depending on your language selection P Note O If the driver is not set correctly after copying the ppd file printing may not be performed properly O When using PageMaker the optional features that can be selected by the printer driver will not be active The following procedure describes how to activate the optional printer features

OK As the Bluetooth password enter the last four digits of the machine s serial number You can find the serial number on the label attached to the back of the machine For example if the serial number is 00A0 001234 the Bluetooth password is 1234 4 The print job is sent P Note O The Bluetooth password differs for each machine and cannot be changed Making Option Settings for the Printer Making Option Settings for the Printer Make option settings for the machine using the printer driver when bidirectional communication is disabled Reference For details about making option settings for the printer see p 53 If Bidirec tional Communication Is Disabled Conditions for Bidirectional Communication Bidirectional communication allows information about paper size and feed di rection settings to be automatically sent to the printer You can check machine status from your computer e Bidirectional communication is supported by Windows 95 98 Me 2000 XP Windows Server 2003 and Windows NT 4 0 e If you use the RPCS printer driver and bidirectional communication is ena bled under Windows 2000 the Change Accessories tab is unavailable 2 Note O The RPCS printer driver supports bidirectional communications and updates the machine status automatically O The PCL printer driver supports bidirectional communications You can up date the machine status manually To support bidirectional communication
